CNN commentator Van Jones broke down in tears as he delivered a highly emotional live reaction to the network calling the presidential election for Joe Biden
Jones was forced to compose himself as he claimed it's 'easier to be a parent this morning' and said that the end of Trump's presidency would make life 'easier for a whole lot of people'.
The 52-year-old father of two added that Biden's win shows that 'being a good man matters' and hopes he 'sons look at this'.
The former Obama administration adviser spared a moment for Trump supporters stating that he was sorry that they lost but that 'for a whole lot of people it's a good day'.
Jones was asked for his thoughts seconds after CNN and multiple other TV networks called the race and projected that Biden is president elect.
He immediately had to compose himself as he began his impassioned take and stopped on several occasions to wipe his tears.
'It's easier to be a parent this morning,' he began.
'It's easier to be a dad. It's easier to tell your kids character matters. It matters, telling the truth matters. Being a good person matters.
'It's easier for a whole lot of people,' he added, before listing different groups who had been affected by Trump's presidency.
'If you're a Muslim in this country, you don't have to worry if the president doesn't have to want to here,' he said.
Jones also repeated his statement on Twitter as he said: 'Today is a good day'
The former Obama staffer began the celebrations on Twitter Saturday morning
'If you're an immigrant, you don't have to worry if the president is going to be happier to have babies snatched away, send dreamers back for no reason.
'It's vindication for a lot of people who have suffered,' he continued before referencing Black Lives Matter.
'I can't breathe wasn't just George Floyd, that was a lot of people who felt they couldn't breath,' he said.
'Every day you're getting these tweets and you just don't know.
'You go into the store and people who have been afraid to show their racism have been getting nastier and nastier to you and you're worried about your kids.
'Your sister, can she just go to Walmart and get back into her car without somebody saying something to her and you spent so much of your life energy just trying to hold it together.
'This is a big deal. For us just to be able to get some peace and have a chance for a reset. The character of the country matters.
'Being a good man matters,' Jones reiterated.
'I just want my sons to look at this. It's easier to do this the cheap way and get away with this but it comes back around, it comes back around.
'I'm sorry for the people who lost, for them it's not a good day,' he concluded, 'but for a whole lot of people, it's a good day.'
Jones also tweeted his congratulations stating: 'CONGRATULATIONS, AMERICA !!!'
Biden was named the next president of the United States at 11.25 a.m. Saturday morning by television networks and the Associated Press - as Trump played golf.
CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, the AP and USA Today all made the call and Fox News followed suit 10 minutes later.
Biden will address the nation tonight.
Votes in Philadelphia pushed his margin in must-win Pennsylvania to 34,558, more than 0.5%, just after 11am - putting the result in the state beyond doubt.
That took him to 273 electoral votes - placing the 77-year-old on a clear path to the White House.
The states of Nevada, Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina were still to be called. Biden was ahead in all but North Carolina, and if he stays that way he will have 302 electoral college votes, the same as Trump in 2016.
Kamala Harris, his running mate, becomes the first female vice president, and the first black and Asian-American vice president.

caribmama but you i see at this time in life how he was raised can be an excuse because people like him have advanced to everything else and social media prove it how they brag, they want the latest cars, designer goods, but living the same broken lifestyle by spending and not investing even when they see other people doing it, those are the people who accept slavery and wont make any sacrifices, if you give him $1 million right now he would do the same thing, its going to be 2021 they will not change you just have to get away from them, those are the same people who will try to take yours when they no longer have, it is a cursed
As much as we want in our heart to come together like the jews.....we will not. We are too broken and have the crab in the barrel mentality. It's wonderful when you have Million Man March and BLM! But at the end of the day, when those rallies are over, you have to go back to the detriment of the communities that you are from and unfortunately to people who either don't care to advance their communities or try to dissuade you from doing so.
I was talking to a guy who is looking at black people around him that have saved their hard earned money and are buying houses right now. He's in his 50's an is all blinged out. He's got every Nike, Jordan and Adidas sneaker you can probably name and says to me that he wished he had the money to buy a house right now. Unfortunately looking into his history, he was raised to be materialistic and to buy only the best in life and has to work three jobs at this age to keep up with the jones's. When he was a kid he told me he has his own play room with all the latest games and systems. He wasn't taught to save, buy property, stocks, etc. I'm trying to teach him this now. He has a condo an is paying $1000 just for maintenance fees. I was shocked and told him they saw a suckers coming their way. I have never heard of maintenance fees being that high unless you have a million dollar property.
caribmama white people told the slaves they were property, so they will do anything for money just to feel important, ask ypur self how do you have a group of people who will work 2 to 3 jobs to buy items from the same people they call racists like Gucci or expensive cars like Benz or BMW, but when the last time those same negros question those companies, make them show you how they support the community, how do they help advance the community? Hell no the negros dont ask no questions, they feel important just buying those items, but will make any excuse why they cannot invest of put their kids through college and live in project apartments, that is sad but when you dont see your self more than property or objects this is how you will live, like i say they can do everything else except when it comes to do positive, in 2021 there will be no excuse why black people arw still struggling except they choose to, we cant keep blaming the white men when many of us are doing better than whites, they hate that, all we have to do is keep on pushing like the jews, no one gave the jews anything they got together, they went after it and make demands, they may not like each other but they work together and also not busy killing each other.
thats what Malcolm X was trying to teach us, the next 4 years will prove 2 things, either how negros choose to live on slavery and accept the new world of slavery, or they finally had enough and ready to take their independency, but when you have every so call negro leaders chasing tv shows they will keep on selling the community.
Yes it's sad to see companies like Famous Amos sold out to white folks. They are not the only company that has done that. I guess, whoever has the biggest check.
caribmama after all those decades it is a choice for us to stay damage, we take opportunity of everything else, we embrace every one else but our own so that community will never be free because of too much self hate, as for BLM i told you when this thing started it was a set up, those same people out there marching and protest with black are the same discriminate against black, it is a business campaign how come before no one wanted to promote black businesses? Well understand the business of slave trade, if the white folks put it out there every one will follow just like they started the campaign against Trump its white people who told you to hate Trump no one came against him until the democrats did so.
They will promote the black businesses because most of those blacks came from nothing and desperate to make it they have been waiting and cant no longer wait, most of those business have already been designed all they keed is an investor or someone that can put them out there like shark tank, so we will sell our slaves to the world and make our money back, once those businesses take off they will take over and give chump change to those who started them and those blacks will not own any of them, so just sit back and watch
As for BLM there is already a war against them i get to fight on tweeter everyday my account had been suspended twice its because i threat to sue they dont f*** with me, they are calling BLM a hate group that are against cops, thats how they started the destruction of the black panther party
It's sad that we cannot pull our commutes together. I understand your sentiment! The only thing we can do is create abundance for our legacy and hope along the way we find brothers and sisters that want to learn and do the same. We are a damaged people and it comes from people not seeing US! I was surprised at how much support we got from all races during BLM protests. It was enlightening to see. But then you wonder, what are the motives behind other races supporting BLM? We shall see what happens in the next 4 years.
Now lets revise because negros are quick to forget in 2016 i went against Donald Trump, i was campaigning for Bernie Sanders, i posted materials on here and the same negros were attacking me because they were supporting Hillary Clinton, i research and educated my self about the candidate i supported.
those same niggers had no idea who hillary clinton was and is, they still dont know because they make poor political decisions, the black community have never chose a candidate of their own, either the media tells them who to vote for, or their favorite celebrities, or the same white democrat politicians, the sad part majority of them dis not know anything about obama, they voted Because he was black and that is sad, they are a joke.
Ask those niggers what have they done, how have they contributed to what they believe in, i bet you they have nothing to show for.
As for me i spent around $8000 out my own pocket when i volunteered for Bernie Sanders to make commercials and advertisement, of course i wrote it off as contribution and expenses, but i did it because i truly believed he would uplift the community, if you pay attention he is the only candidate who have addressed the community directly, so of course i had to back him up because i have people who may never get out and be like me and it hurts when i look next to me my neighbors dont look like me, the people who are jogging and walking their dogs dont look like me
so yes i would pay to have the community that was destroyed in Tulsa back in june 1921, and anytime you would like to see those videos i can email them to you, but i think i did post them on here at that time, so i am not a cheer leader for no one unless they will give the same to the black community like other communities, a lot of niggers come on here and run their mouth but ask them what have they done for the community or what have they contributed and make them show you the proof, those are the same niggers destroying the community supporting the no snitching nonsense, or else ask your self why is the community in such dark condition?
Those noggers who run their mouth and quick to attack black man like me just because i refuse to think like a slave are the same of niggers who set up Malcolm X and sold the black panther party, i can see them as soon as they speak, thats why i call them by their names, i hate niggers more than white people, they are the one destroying the community, the worse thing that ever happened to black people, it's 2020 soon to be 2021 please learn the difference between niggers and blacks, i would never consider my self as a n*****, i do not answer to what the white man is calling unless he comes to my face ill be sure to deal with it, i dont have white friends and plan to die like that, i tell everyone i am a proud racist and i am very open about it, i rather stand alone than to stand with people who pretends to like me.
caribmama ok thats the part i do not understand a president does not have personal relationship with the public, he does not make decisions of where you should go or who you should work for, if all those people say they hate him because he is racist and as a president he can be held accountable, now why would any of those people work for him when as a boss he can make personal decisions in your life, he can tell you when to come to work or go home, he can set how much you get pay, so now you will have direct interaction with some one you know that is racist and dont like you for who you are, at that point what so you stand for? I choose to go in business because i did not want to work for any white person telling me what to do because of the experienced of my parents how they faced racism at the jobs, if those who dont like Trump because he is racist and would work for him than they dont stand for nothing and dont mean nothing, if you someone ia nobody than i dont have to care dor them so Trump is right for seeing them less than human
Mr1stroke....people will never stop working for Dump. I highly doubt anyone that dislikes him would work for him, just look at his track record for how he pays individuals or doesn't pay them. But I wouldn't put it past anyone to take a job from one of his companies. A job is a job!
As far as the black community is concerned, yes you are right. All the civil rights workers are dying off, those who knew how to pull commutes together. The generation today was not raised by they grandmamas an mothers. To many have children at 12 or 13. They defiantly wouldn't know how to properly raise a child cause they ain't lived life yet to properly show that child how to live. Our communities are in such disrepair and we may never come back from it. Let's hope there can be a turn around.
