Tyrese P!sses Celibate Women Off: “I Can’t Buy A Car Without Test Driving It First

Just this past week singer and actor Tyrese Gibson, who is also the co-host of OWN’s ‘It’s Not You, It’s Men,’ felt the clap back of many critics after his recent appearance on ‘The Doctors’ talk show. Discussing the topic of intercourse before marriage, Gibson and Rev. Run had total opposite views from one another on the topic of their discussion. According to Gibson, he says that he refuses to date a woman who says that she is celibate, he also likened his explanation to test driving a car before the consideration of purchase (commitment).

When Gibson was questioned on his thoughts about waiting for $ex until marriage, the singer candidly shared his unwillingness to marry a woman who can’t ‘get down’ the way that he wants her to.

“It’s enough people getting married and filing for divorce. There’s enough people out here saying, ‘I’m a born again virgin. I’ve had sex before, but I’m just going to hold back. I don’t know, I’m still trying to figure it out. I’m not going to have $ex, I’m not going to touch you because it’s biblical. However, I would say, I’m not willing to potentially marry bad $ex.”

That was when he made the test drive comment that seemed to have some people up in arms, “If I have one car. You gotta jump in and do a couple turns. Put in reverse, back up. I’m not marrying bad $ex!”

Though the divorced father-of-one did make qualms about not wanting to wait until his next wedding night, celibacy has been a trending topic amongst public figures. Famous couples like Meagan Good and Devon Franklin, as well as Ciara and Russell Wilson, have both shared that they prefer celibacy until marriage just so that they can have a clearer understanding of each other, as well as a deeper meaning of what love truly is.

So, what are your thoughts? Do you think that you can only find love with $ex or would you much rather wait until your wedding night to bring the physical into the equation?

Comment your opinion below… This should be good.

Vana lol that is not what men are saying in fact its a respond to women who always leaving men for bad sex, it is always women who talks about how men are no good in bed, but at the same time look what women are asking of men, they are asking for men to make a lifetime commitment with that one person without knowing her physically, its bad enough marriage dont work in favor of a men, now a man will have to commit to that one woman for the rest of life, so when he does without knowing her physically and things happen to be bad and then what? these days no one wants to take time and know their partners every one what they want that is relationship dont last, but let be serious if you marry a man before having sex with him and you come to find out he is just horrible in bed no matter what things dont get better, what will you do, sometimes we have to be honest with our selves, telling the other person what he or she wants to hear eventually will be in the light

You know what's sad is that when they test drive all these women and finally find the right one, they still end up cheating on them and often end up divorced.

What makes men think that women are the only ones being bad at sex,  I hear about sexless marriages all the time.  Some men can give bad sex too.  I mean if he doesn't BRING IT to the bedroom, that could be a deal break as well.  Those women who are abstinent have some catching up to do in the sexual department.

How can anyone get mad at what Tyrese is saying. A women doesnt want a man that isnt experienced in anything, thats the reason why she chooses a man and NOT a boy. At least that should be the case. So why should a man want a female that could possibly be terrible in bed? He wants a woman not a little girl. That is a major part of any relationship. It also relates to chemistry, abilities and skill. It causes houses to crumble everyday, so why invest so deep into the unknown? It doesnt make much logical sense when it comes to life, or business sense as for investment, its just not worth the risk.

The worst part is the whole celibacy is usually linked to regretting sexual experiences or sex partners. Thats your personal fight, your baggage, you should not expect anyone to automatically understand. The average person will usually feel offended that the person choose that time to become celibate or began sexual abstinence.

But, I say, "to each his own", its a dice roll, on one hand, you dont have to deal with it, and on the other hand, its a decision you dont have to make, especially, if your not a virgin. The term born again virgin sounds good to some, but its complete non-sense, a lie, an illusion, a delusional thought or thinking. Theres no such thing. If youve crossed that plan of having sex, then you cant go back. You are amongst the average, Taking that celibate approach could possibly (& does often) cause the connection that should happen, not to happen. Just have to always approach with caution.

Women have a right to do what they want with their body I respect that but I agree with Tyrese I'm not marrying a woman that is saying sex after marriage. I been with a woman or two where the sex wasn't pleasing and I know we weren't compatible sexually. That is a recipe for a marriage going downhill, even though sex isn't everything but it can race to the top of what would cause frustration's to mount. If a woman told me that we could be friends but that's it. With all due respect that's her wish and this is mine. #differentviews
