A lot of discriminatory comments have come out of Donald Trump’s campaign, but it appears like even when people feel like he’s about to tone down, his team unveils something weirder. Just recently, the GOP frontrunner said during a public rally in Iowa that he would keep votes intact even if he shot somebody in the middle of the street.
Now, the controversial billionaire’s national campaign spokesperson has called Obama “half-breed” during an interview on CNN. This just shows how racist Trump’s campaign has become.
Katrina Pierson, the Trump spokesperson, who recently hit headlines after she attended an interview wearing a necklace of bullets, was being interviewed on CNN when she was asked about her previous controversial tweets in which she called President Obama “head Negro” and that he wasn’t a “pure breed.”
Her answer was sheer bizarre and her choice of words left a lot to be desired. She said: “These tweets — I’m an activist and I am a half-breed. I’m always getting called a half-breed. And on Twitter when you’re fighting with liberals and even establishment, you go back at them in the same silliness they are giving you. So, I myself am a half-breed. We have entered silly season. Donald Trump is up in the polls. There’s desperate campaigns out there, they can’t take him down so they try to take down the people that are around him. And we’re just not going to get distracted by all that nonsense.”
Well, that answer just tells you what it means to be on Trump’s side or otherwise because either way, you’ll face some racist comments. It’s however not a surprise to be called “half-breed” while on Trump’s end, particularly considering how the billionaire has conducted his campaigns throughout.
It’s a known fact that when it comes to conversations of who’s pure breed and who’s not, it resonates with white supremacist groups; it’s a discussion that civilized people let go of decades ago.
Pierson’s reasoning is likely when discussing presidential candidates and their backgrounds; or better still, lead to the question of who’s really an American. Trump himself has his roots from Germany, and we all know that.
Is that the kind of approach that Trump wants to use in his campaigns?
Does Pierson see that she’s being used as a whipping boy? How could it be that someone of her stature has been so brainwashed that she looks down upon herself? Is Trump campaign some kind of cult? It’s such acts and more that have pointed out to similarities between Trump’s campaign and the Nazi Party.
Who really expected we would have to deal with such in 2016?
