The actually temperatures will hover around 0 on Sunday, but winds will be reaching up to 25mph according to the National Weather Service.

Conditions could even be the worst they have been in years.

'Sunday could be the coldest day in at least 20 years,” said de Blasio.

This all comes as thousands have flocked to the city for the biannual New York Fashion Week, with shows scheduled all weekend.

This as winter weather continues to ravage the Northeast, with New England and Boston being the hardest hit.

Just as southern New England residents finished digging out from their latest storm, more snow was on the way.

The region, which has already had record snowfall, saw a dusting of snow Wednesday and  more light snowfall on Thursday just in time for the evening commute, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow should taper off early Friday morning, bringing Cape Cod up to 4 inches and around 2 inches elsewhere in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and parts of Connecticut.

Forecasters are watching a more potent storm that could dump higher amounts over the Valentine's Day weekend.
