Blessed empress!!! man all except for gil bailey ( I hope he still alive ) There are plenty plenty plenty DJ and radio show out here empress whe play reggae and Soca !!!! Especialy inthe NYC may not be the majors underground stations and sound systems !!! I do not know your age but been in this game for a minute and again I do give raspect to WBLS for keeping Dahved on the air for so long !!!! I think you mean Hot 97 there is no Kiss any more but I know what you mean tho!!! Yeah they do suck LOL but blessed love but even Dahved with his arragant self sometimes would tell you he is not the originator but many do try to duplicate his style tho will admit that hell I listen to him every sunday cause sat me normaly playing out or working!!! Besides he go hard!!!! Bless up sistren and walk good!!

PS. I have no beef with Busta Or Snoop they both great artist. I just feel that people are coming out with the twerking cause of Dahved talking about it and playing the Caribbean. I also love Doug E. Fresh he also comes on with his new show "The Show". Peace & Love

Ok what ever you say but the one that's alive on the air right now is WBLS that's playing the SOCA and Reggea music in the NYC area. I don't know where your from and no other station that I hear is playing SOCA or Reggea. Kiss FM only plays rap music. Busta Rhymes wasn't really going hard on any Caribbean music that I've heard after now that it's becoming so famous. No offense to Snoop Dog (I love them both) But ever since twerking came out everyone wants to make a twerking video and twerk song. Like I said the only DJ I know that's a live and well that's kicking the Caribbean is Dahved Levy. All the other stations are asleep playing the old school rap. But I respect your opinion

A What!!!! So all the selectors and sound systems out here have nothing to do with the exposure !!!! Hummmmm

I do agree that dahved is a living legend in his won right but there are are others empress that helped along the way not to mention red alert, Mr majic,Gil bailey,Dj Squeez , Irei Fm and the list is endless COCO Chanel !!! I really don't get what you are saying and Busta has always been involved in his Jamacian roots long before this!!! Snoop I give alot of credit for sticking to his guns and following is path hope he stays with it na matter what the so called rasta order thinks!!!! Jah Bless empress but I give Credit to WBLS for keeping Dahved on the air for so long and especially for running Soca and Calypso long before other nationally known stations!!!! But they are not or will not be the only ones getting credit !!!
