Teen Arrested For Dressing Up As Detective And Showing Up To Around 40 Police Incidents [VIDEO]

When most people have a certain profession in mind they want to pursue, getting dressed and just showing up to that workplace doesn't cross the minds of the masses.

19 year old Ryan Mann obviously doesn't think like the masses however, and it's now landed him behind bars.

Albany police had surrounded a home with an armed suspect inside and ultimately arrested that suspect.

Mann was on the scene was wearing a dress shirt, khakis, and a bullet-proof vest. He even carried a portable radio and police badge.

An officer noticed him from being on a scene of a previous incident and that's when things fell apart for Ryan.

Albany Police Spokesman James Miller said, ''Basically he was going around telling people he was Detective Ruff, which we don't have anyone by that last name.''

''He had an application on his iPhone in which he listened to our scanners, our calls going out, many times responded before or after the fact.''

Mann is in custody and is undergoing a mental health evaluation. Miller said he wasn't really a threat to anyone but himself.

Miller said, ''You'd be concerned if he was targeting females or trying to get into someone's apartment to steal items. He just wanted to be a cop and wanted to portray one. Might have thought he was one, and it probably put him in more danger than anyone else.''

Mann is charged with criminal possession of stolen property for the portable radio which was taken from Albany Medical Center. Police tell us there could be additional charges, including impersonating a police officer.

Who knows,, now maybe he'll pursue the career the right way. He does already have quite a bit of experience for someone not even considered a rookie lol.
