David Adefeso, the boyfriend of Tamar Braxton, has spoken out following reports earlier this week that he filed a restraining order against his celebrity girlfriend.

During the Livestream, David claims that he's never put his hands on Tamar, but that he is the victim of domestic violence and that he was attacked.

His claims come after a source close to the Braxton's say that it was him who put his hands on her. He said he was struck in the neck while he was driving and that he was being secretly recorded.

"Any claims that Ms. Braxton was the aggressor and/or abusive are completely false and have no merit. David Adefeso has been upset and abusive since seeing his own true colors on Tamar's upcoming television show and has been taking it out on Tamar ever since," the source said according to The Blast.During Tamar's alleged suicide attempt weeks ago, her family were baffled by Adefeso's 911 call where he blamed the WeTV for the incident. But as the source says, when the show airs -- people will be able to judge fr themselves whether or not Adefeso was controlling and abusive.

Tamar Braxton Opens Up About Healing Process After Suicide Attempt

According to TMZ, Tamar Braxton‘s boyfriend has reportedly asked a court for protection against the singer in what he describes as a domestic violence situation.
The news site reports that David Adefeso filed for a restraining order on Tuesday in L.A. seeking to prevent domestic violence. However, it is unclear what he’s alleging she might’ve done. So far, the court has not approved his request just yet and neither has Adefeso or Braxton spoke out on his filing.

His latest move comes shortly after the incident involving the singer two months ago. As we previously reported, he was the one who called 911 saying Tamar was threatening to kill herself. Sources say she was very upset that same day before making the threat.

Tamar Braxton ‘Alert and Responsive’ Following Suicide Attempt, Transferred to Mental Hospital

Tamar Braxton is opening up about her July 16 suicide attempt, claiming she wanted to “end my pain and my life,” after years in the “toxic” reality TV business. 

She’s speaking out about her healing process and divulging more details about her downward spiral.
On Thursday, Braxton, 43, revealed in a lengthy statement on Instagram that she attempted suicide after suffering “pain” for the past 11 years while working as a reality TV star.

“Thank you to each and every individual who has prayed for me, thought of me, sent me their love and has showered me with their support. In this present moment, it is my only responsibility to be real with myself and to be real with the ones who truly love me and care for my healing. I have without fail, shared with you my brightest days, and I know that sharing with you what has been my darkest will be the light for any man or woman who is feeling the same defeat Ifelt just only a week ago,” she wrote.

Tamar Braxton Accuses WeTV Bosses of Making Her ‘Suicidal’ in Scathing Letter

Tamar Braxton is “alert and responsive” and speaking to her family and doctors following an alleged suicide attempt last week.
According to The Blast, Tamar has been moved to a mental health facility for treatment.
“Out of respect for Tamar’s privacy and that of her family, no additional information is available at this time,” a source told the outlet.

She was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after her boyfriend, David Adefeso, found her unconscious in their apartment at the Ritz Carlton Residences.
We previously reported, Braxton sent an email to her WEtv bosses accusing them of destroying her family and making her suicidal.
The letter was sent weeks before her suicide attempt, according to Page Six.

The singer and her famous family have appeared on a reality show on the network for more than a decade.

Braxton allegedly detailed her downward spiral in the email seen by Page Six, explaining that her family is in “disarray.”

“We fight with each other, we betray each other, and now we’re physically assaulting each other — all happening because your show [“Braxton Family Values”] has chosen to show the absolute worst side of a strong, independent and successful African American family; a show that I created to showcase a strong Black Family as a beacon of hope for all the young black girls and boys out there; instead you coached and cajoled us into finding the worst in each other,” she wrote.

She went on to call the network “cruel white slave masters who once chained our forefathers, and the oppressive police forces that now terrorize our communities,” she added, “I hope those ratings were worth it because you succeeded in destroying a great black family.”

Braxton noted that “the final stake into the heart of my family” was “the day you dug up a secret I’d never shared with anyone, a secret I was so ashamed to talk about that I hid it even from my own mom: the fact that I had been assaulted and raped repeatedly from age 6 to age 16, sometimes multiple times a day.” 

She said the show’s producers “exposed it on your show in front of my entire family and 100 crew members.” She added, “You broke me that day and I considered ending my own life then for the shame I felt!”

Tamar ended the email, “I have news for you! Today, I take my power back. I will no longer tolerate being oppressed. I am asking you to break the chains NOW and LET ME GO I am suffocating! I CAN’T BREATHE!!”

Tamar Braxton Hospitalized After Being Found ‘Unresponsive’ – Possible Suicide Attempt

Tamar Braxton was reportedly found unresponsive in her hotel room in downtown Los Angeles after she allegedly tried to commit suicide, 

And her alleged suicide attempt may be as a result of Tamar's precarious financial situation.

We spoke with a person close to Tamar who told us that the singer was "going broke" and possibly facing eviction from her $25,000 a month luxury apartment at the Ritz Carlton Residences where she lives with boyfriend David Adefeso.

The Blast initially reported that David immediately called 911 after finding Braxton unresponsive on Thursday night and told the cops that she had been drinking and had ingested an unknown amount of prescription pills.

Tamar Braxton is apparently going through something. Thursday evening she was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday after being found unconscious.
“There was a medical emergency call generated related to a possible overdose at 9:45 p.m.,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told The Blast. “The person was then transported to a nearby hospital.”
The website said her boyfriend, David Adefeso, found her “unresponsive and sources believe it was a possible suicide attempt.”
LAPD confirmed to The Blast, they received a call around 9:45 P.M. in regard to a 43-year-old female who had a medical emergency listed as a “possible overdose.” Officers are following the woman to the hospital for further investigation.
“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day,” her rep said in a statement to the website. “More information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”
Braxton’s hospitalization came on the same day that the trailer was released for her new We tv reality series, “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!”

According to We tv’s description for the show, it follows Braxton as she tries to “turn her life around and take matters into her own hands by sharing her truth in a revealing new docuseries that follows her every move.”
BTW, according to The Blast, Tamar has been extremely emotional due to an ongoing contract dispute with We TV over her new reality show “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life.”
Meanwhile, as Sandra Rose notes, Tamar and David’s “Coupled & Quarantined” YouTube series was postponed this week, with a message posted on their page reading:
“Hello Ya’ll Unfortunately, Your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (Don’t worry it’s not Covid).
She continued:
“We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better. so sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. we’ll make it up to you next week.”
