Izaak - born Mickailia Ila Adu - has previously confessed how 'emotionally exhausting' his transition has been as he took to Instagram to offer insights into his experience in July.

Sharing a picture of himself in a hospital bed, Izaak wrote: 'This process is trying, tiring, painful, emotionally exhausting, physically exhausting, uncomfortable (like I can’t sleep like a normal human being rn lol) I often ask myself...

'Why the f**k do I have to endure this to be who I am” but at the end of the day this is the path that was laid out for me and I’ll walk it to the end.'

WHAT IS A PHALLOPLASTY?

In a phalloplasty, doctors surgically create or recreate a penis.

The procedure is one of several 'bottom surgeries' performed as part of a gender affirmation.

Before beginning the medical components of gender affirmation, patients undergo counseling and psychiatric evaluations.

Then, they may begin hormone therapy, and if they so choose, proceed to 'top' surgery, to modify the chest to match their gender identity, and 'bottom surgery.'

Phalloplasties have come a long way since the first one was performed in 1936.

After hormone therapy, but before the phalloplasty, a person transitioning from female to male has to have a procedure called a hysterectomy to remove the uterus at least three months prior to the penis construction.

Doctors harvest 'flaps' of tissue - typically from the forearm, but sometimes from the thigh - in order to create the penis's new exterior and urethra, so this donor area has to be treated with  laser hair removal on that the 'donor area' that become a penis will look realistic and hair-free.

Then the transition surgery happens in four stages, sometimes done separately, others in one long surgery, lasting between eight and 12 hours.

Surgeons take the donor tissue from the forearm (or other site), then another skin graft, typically taken from the thigh, is then used to cover the forearm donor site.

Then surgeons build the penis and urethra, connecting the latter to the bladder.

In the fourth stage, most patients choose to have doctors insert a pump into the shaft of a penis, which is attached to a prosthetic testicle and saline bag stashed in the abdomen.

With this system, the patient can squeeze the testicle, pumping the saline solution into his new penis so he can get an erection.

The surgery is extensive and complex and has the highest complication rate of any gender affirmation surgery, at just under six percent of all operations.

Most patients spend about a week in the hospital after the operation, it takes about six weeks to be able to do strenuous activity or heavy lifting, and 12 to 118 months to fully heal.

Depending on a patient's particular preferences, this surgery can cost between $9,500 and $25,000, according to the Philadelphia Center for Transgender Surgery.   zaak has spent the last six months recovering in a facility after undergoing a phalloplasty, a common surgical choice for transgender and nonbinary people interested in gender confirmation surgery.

Sade share's her son with reggae music producer Bob Morgan and Izaak has previously recited his dad's words of wisdom during more trying times.

He posted on his Instagram: 'My dad always says “keep your eyes on the horizon” and that’s what I do, because through all this pain is the comfort that it’s not forever and I have the rest of my life ahead of me and I am so, SO D**N EXCITED...

'I just have to remind myself to be patient sometimes as I’m sure we all do. Big up to my Mumma, Pappa, family and friends for all the support you give me on the daily, it’ll never be forgotten.'

Sade Adu's only child - born a girl, transitioned into becoming a boy last year. Ila, who seemingly now goes by the name ‘Izaak Theo’ - got surgery this week. And now the transition is FINAL.

The Nigerian-British singer's son revealed that he underwent surgery recently, and is now able to wear the male designer shirts he had previously left hanging in his wardrobe.

“So many tops I can wear now that I couldn’t before my surgery so happs!! Plus copped this piece,” he said in the post, posing in a Raph Lauren shirt.

This interesting update comes after he revealed that he already lost his previous feminine voice. Izaak shared a video of his remarkable development since he started taking testosterone injections.

And that’s not all: he already has grown facial hair, and now topped with the male physique, one can hardly guess he was ever a female.

Although many have wondered exactly how Sade feels about her new son, she never spoke out about it. But in one online post, Izaak has now shared, he made it very clear that he has the full support of his mother and many other loved ones. He also confessed that even with their support, he still has some struggles with being a transgender man. Sometimes following your own heart, instead of succumbing to society’s judgement, is a life accomplishment within itself, so props to Izaak Theo for that. And besides, as long as Izaak and his girlfriend are happy, then it’s all good.

Thanks but I know that you even see it on here it hurts and as long you don't think like them they will try to attack you, but no am built for this and always ready, I see it like this look how long some of us have been nice to the negros who are destroying the communiyy, we make many excuses for them, they have not try to fix any of their flaws, so we have to start being truthful and hurt their feelings, may be they will get it but than again they never will, we have to move away from them there is no way we can't fix it, that's the part of the family who started selling us. They will never change

theafricanunion damn it I love you brother that's what I have been saying for the longest and I say it in every community meeting, majority of the cause us more pain, the only way we can build another black wall street is to start a new we cannot fix what's out here, the only way we can have strong families again is to move away from the broken ones they cannot be fix, it don't matter what we do it will not work, they have been poison by the white society and self hatred

And you know who they are, very insecure and loyal to white people, it's so sad how these negros running away from their selves trying to fit in the white society, they do everything the white men tell them to do an repeat every thing and white person tell them to say it's a permanent mental condition

many of us are too far gone to be saved, some of us need to be eliminated. They cause more problems over solutions.

theafricanunion I'm definitely will watch the whole video, but I am not referring to the video I'm talking about the people out here

@mr1stroke Agreed, but the ones speaking in the video live it, and dedicated their lives to speaking the truth, and offering solutions to creating the reality to restore our sanity. Volumes of scholarly books and lectures coming from an African mindset, you should take the time to watch the video in its entirety. i guarantee something will get your attention. these are some of our Master Scholars that have been committed to our race.

theafricanunion a lot of those idiots only talk about being African to sound good, but do they live it? if they did we would not be in the condition we are now. They got their heads so stuck up the white men's ass they will do anything for him, that's why as soon as they open their mouth they quick to brag about how educated they are but with some white education, with all the books they read and that bullshit degree the white men sold them which is why::) they are still in debt, they have no idea about the essence of being African, I would be ashamed to brag about the white men education that I paid for yet stil under achieve in life, 90 of the negros who brag about their education have nothing to show for, they either relying on some retirement and still have to work or struggling in some bullshit job, it's a damn shame they wonder why they remain in slavery and don't even know it, many do but accepted it

SELF HATE IS A DEEP INBRED SICKNESS, WE MUST RESIST ASSIMILATING INTO THIS BOMBARDMENT OF EUROCENTRIC CULTURE THAT EATS OUT OUR UNIQUENESS OF BEING AFRICAN, IN FACT IT'S SO SERIOUS THAT MANY OF US HAVE NOT A CLUE THAT WE WERE AND ARE THE STANDARD OF MORALITY.  THIS IS A SERIOUS MENTAL SICKNESS, IN ORDER TO SURVIVE, FOR US OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS AND OUR CULTURE TO THRIVE, WE MUST BECOME WHO WE ARE AFRICANS AND NOT CHOCOLATE COVERED ZOMBIES AND SPIRITLESS PEOPLE......
