Trinidad-based Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) has

warned of the possibility of an outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1),

 better known as swine flu

The Trinidad-based Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) has warned of the possibility of an outbreak of Influenza A (H1N1), better known as swine flu.

The bug spread in a worldwide pandemic during the 2009-2010 flu season and left thousands dead.

Based on the occurrence of sporadic outbreaks reported in countries in the Americas since the beginning of this year, CAREC has recommended that countries in the Caribbean reactivate their National Preparedness Plans for the pandemic.

There is currently no outbreak in the region and health authorities have said there is no cause for alarm.

However, the various Ministries of Health in the region have advised the public to continue to practise proper hygienic measures, including frequent hand washing and covering the nose and mouth with a disposable tissue when coughing or sneezing.

Persons who were experiencing fever, cough or sore throat have been advised to stay away from school or work until they are fever free, for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medication.

Those most susceptible to H1N1, especially pregnant women, persons with asthma and other lung conditions, heart disease, diabetes, obesity and impairment of the immune system, should seek prompt medical attention.

Issues of this nature can be avoided by regular exercise and diet. Keeping your immune system up is key to avoiding this and many other issues. Until they take it and mutate it to do other things and as stated it will be a problem for all since we were originally used because our immune systems and body were impervious to many many things. Peace to all, I pray all receive light and understanding seek knowledge

@evolution...LOL!  Just viewing words alone is so limiting when communicating.  "Meaning" and intent, often get twisted and things tend to get "lost in translation" from time to time.  It happens.  Agreed, "no worries".

My intentions is not scare anyone,I talking facts here things that actually happen. The outcome is sometimes uncertain, and I don't think that fear is the answer.I'm not affraid of dying, but i sure is hell won't let no one use me as a guinea pig.

@evolutions...scare tactics.  (rolling my eyes).  You know they always do this to keep the public in a constant state of "perpetual-fear".  When "we the people" are always scared, we'll in turn, beg the government, a.k.a. "big brother", for what every cure or help they have (which usual comes in the form of experimental drugs in this case).  All we are to them are guinea pigs, at the bottom of the pyramid, to experiment on.  SMH.

@sweetness....I co-sign to your sentiments.  You're right my friend.  The rabbit whole goes extremely deep.

Blessings, Nubian King and Queen.

Every disease that they manufacture is design to kill us and only us,the problem with that is,if we are the superior race then anything they make would affect them too.And it would affect them at a far greater rate than us because of our genetic make up,and our resilience at fighting off antibodies. They would like to seperate the races, but it is very difficult to do so.when "they" injected the syphilis vaccine into the African American GI's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,back when segregation was tolerated, they never thought of the idea, that a white woman would of been sexually active/involved with a black man,and the s*** backfired. So yes money and profit is the driving force behind every cure depends on who contract what they selling.
