As reported by the Earthquake Unit which is located at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 shook some areas of Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Andrew about 8:46 on Friday night.
The epicenter of the sudden quake was located approximately 10 kilometres west of the Buff Bay community in Portland, the quake had a focal depth of 17 km according to the Earthquake Unit.
Last November the corporate area was also rocked by a 3.4 Magnitude Earthquake.
