Bobbi Kristina Brown's ex-fiancé Nick Gordon overdosed but was revived just a month ago as friend reveals final spiral which ended in his New Year's Day death from 'black tar heroin'
Nick Gordon, the former fiance of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, died of a heroin overdose according to a toxicology and autopsy report obtained by TMZ.
Gordon passed away on New Year's Day in Florida after suffering a series of heart attacks. The 911 call revealed that Gordon had black discharge is coming out of both his mouth and nostrils, which can happen following an opioid overdose.
"My heart is heavy today after learning that my long time client Nick Gordon died at the young age of thirty. While I cannot speak to the specific circumstances of his death, I can say that it's been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential," Gordon's attorney said in a statement released to the press following Gordon's death.
"Despite all of the incredible challenges Nick faced over the last few years I can honestly say that he worked hard to hold his head up and stay sober and that he genuinely wanted a happy healthy life with his family more than anything else. My heart goes out to the family and friends Nick leaves behind and to any other families dealing with the losses and heartache caused by drugs."
His death came almost five years after Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was found unresponsive, facedown in a water-filled tub at her Roswell home in January 2015.

Spiraling Nick Gordon suffered two suspected heroin overdoses in the space of a month and was homeless in the weeks preceding his death, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
On the first occasion a loved one was able to revive Gordon by administering Narcan, an opioid antidote that reverses the effects of heroin and kickstarts the heart.
But luck ran out for the wayward former fiancé of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown when he once more overdosed in a central Orlando hotel room early on New Year's Day and did not get medical assistance in time.
Toxicology screens are yet to reveal what killed Gordon but family and friends suspect the drug involved was black tar heroin, a cheaper but notoriously potent form of the drug.

DailyMail.com previously revealed that Gordon was with a mystery female companion who raised the alarm but left before a fire and rescue team arrived.
The 30-year-old had been dead for 15 minutes and, while first responders managed to restart his heart and get him to the hospital, he died later that day surrounded by family.
Gordon's heartbroken mother Michele, 48, traveled from her home in Honolulu, Hawaii, to view her son's body Thursday.
Friends told DailyMail.com she is due to fly back to Hawaii today after leaving arrangements for Gordon to be cremated and attending a small private memorial service Thursday night.
Michele was a loyal presence at her son's side throughout the fallout from the 2015 death of Bobbi Kristina, attending interviews for support and letting him live at her previous home in Sanford, Florida.
But two years ago she decided to start a new life in Hawaii, telling friends she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and wanted to escape the stress and glare of the paparazzi.
Pals said the final straw came in June 2017 when she was forced to step in to protect her son's on-of girlfriend Laura Leal, who was allegedly being beaten and held prisoner in her guest bedroom.

Gordon's father Jack Walker Jr. (right) told DailyMail.com he spoke with Gordon on New Year's Eve where 'he seemed happy, he seemed calm, everything was going good'. His mother (left) is due to fly back to Hawaii today after viewing her son's body
'Michele just couldn't take it anymore. She always feared her son's addiction would kill him and she couldn't stand to see that happen,' a friend told DailyMail.com.
'She's absolutely devastated of course but if there's a slight sense of closure, it's knowing that Nick is finally at peace.
'She's said her goodbyes and done what she needed to do. She knows there was nothing more she or anybody else could have done to rescue him from addiction.'
Over the past 12 months Gordon was holding down a job in construction and was said to have been 'doing great', according to his father, Jack Walker Jr.
'He told me 2020 was going to be better than 2019,' he told DailyMail.com.
Gordon was living with concerned former neighbors who looked out for signs of drug abuse and kept an eye on his drinking but 'disappeared off the radar' several months ago after splitting with Leal.
The three-star Sheraton Orlando North Hotel, where rooms start at around $99 per night, was to be home for the final two to three weeks of Gordon's life.
Hotel management refused to comment but Gordon's scruffy black BMW was still parked up on the property Thursday, with clothes, phone chargers, carrier bags and bottled water strewn across the seats.

The Maitland Police Department was alerted to his suspected fatal overdose there at 5:15am on New Year's Day.
'Black stuff is coming out of his mouth and he is not breathing,' a dispatcher is heard saying in 911 call audio.
'Entry was made into the room, where members of the Maitland Fire & Rescue Department began providing care to an unresponsive individual,' police added in a statement.
He was pronounced deceased at Advent Health Altamonte Springs hospital later that day.
In a further twist, the emergency dispatch refers to Gordon as 'Nick Bouler', confirmation that Gordon had recently decided to legally change his name.
He was secretive about the decision but friends believe he was attempting to distance himself from his notorious past and the vast $36million in damages he owed Bobbi Kristina's estate.
The daughter of pop icons Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, she spent six months in a coma after she was found passed out in a bathtub with a slew of drugs in her system and bruises to her chest.
Gordon protested his innocence and insists he did everything he could to resuscitate the 22-year-old budding singer after finding her unconscious at the Alpharetta, Georgia home they shared.

Gordon never faced criminal charges but was held legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina's wrongful death in a civil case
The sad episode echoed the death of her superstar star mom Whitney who also drowned in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel, with cocaine abuse and heart disease contributing to her February 2012 demise.
Bobby Kristina's autopsy similarly listed drug intoxication and the immersion of her face in the water as factors.
Gordon, who was taken in by Houston at the age of 12, has never faced criminal charges and claims he tried his best to save the girl he considered his 'lil sis' before their relationship became romantic.
Brown's estate accused him, however, of causing her wrongful death by giving her a 'toxic mixture' and also stealing from her bank account while she was comatose.
When neither Gordon, nor his lawyer, showed up at hearings in 2016 a Fulton County Superior Court judge ruled against him by default, ordering him to pay massive damages.
Gordon was arrested for domestic violence in March 2018 for 'repeatedly punching his new girlfriend Laura Leal'. Friends say he 'disappeared off the radar' several months ago after splitting with Leal
Gordon's rap sheet also included arrests for kidnap and domestic violence against Leal, who said that during their June 2017 fight he punched her so hard she wondered if she was dead.
However she later dropped charges of domestic violence battery and false imprisonment insisting she was as much to blame for the dust-up as he was.
Gordon's dad insisted this week that his headline-grabbing son was misunderstood by the media and unfairly labelled a bully.
'I just want the world to know that despite everything that they heard negative Nick was a great person,' Walker Jr told DailyMail.com. 'He loved everyone.'
Former lawyer Joe S. Habachy added in a statement to People: 'While I cannot speak to the specific circumstances of his death, I can say that it's been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first-hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential.'

Gordon is thought to have been living with friends in recent months after his mom moved to Hawaii.
He had split from on-off girlfriend Laura Leal, whom he was accused of attacking on several occasions leading to several arrests for domestic abuse.

In an exclusive 2017 interview with DailyMail.com Leal described how Gordon held her captive in his mother’s former home in Sanford, Florida before savagely beating her up after a night of drinking.
However she later dropped charges of domestic violence battery and false imprisonment insisting she was as much to blame for the dust-up as he was.

The video shot in Seminole County, Florida, opens with a female officer repeatedly telling Gordon to get off the phone before then informing him he cannot place his hands on her while they speak.
'Don't touch me, do not touch me. Get your hands off of me,' she tells Gordon.
She then asks Gordon multiple times to state his name, which he ignores before stating: 'I don't care. Like, I don't care. I want her to go please.'

He eventually strings together a few sentences about what happened after almost three minutes of questioning.
'She flipped out,' claims Gordon.
Then, he is seen on camera stating: 'I'm a famous person, she's done this to me. I don't go to jail over things like this. My lawyer is Jose Baez.'
His story then falls apart when police see Leal's injuries.
Police noticed the injuries on Leal when they reported to the house following a 911 call from a hysterical Gordon made in the early morning hours, telling authorities that he was the victim of abuse.

DailyMail.com later obtained the two calls placed by Gordon just before he was arrested by police for battery on his girlfriend Laura Leal, who he punched multiple times in the face and chest according to an arrest report from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Leal was left with a bloody lip after the attack, while Gordon, 29, had no visible injuries save for a small cut on his thumb.

Gordon was eventually released after posting $500 bond and Leal asked that charges not be pursued in the case.
'My girlfriend is acting insane,' said Gordon in his first 911 call, which lasted more than two minutes.
He seemed to have trouble speaking as he drew out his words, and there were a handful of long silent pauses.
Gordon also said at one point: 'She grabbed my penis.'

Leal also went after Gordon at one point as he could heard gasping in disbelief before he said: 'Oh my god, she ripped my shirt.'
The line went dead soon after but Gordon called back, this team speaking with authorities for over three minutes.
'I feel so lame cause I'm getting beat up by a woman,' said Gordon, who began sobbing less than a minute into the call.
Those histrionics got worse after Leal threw a bottle at Gordon.
'I feel so horrible,' Gordon sobbed over the phone.
'I feel so lame dude.'
Once police did arrive on the scene it was Gordon who found himself in handcuffs.
'Gordon stated that he just wanted Leal to leave his residence due to her ripping his shirt and throwing a bottle at him,' read the police report.
'Gordon stated that she attacked him for no reason and that she is "crazy." Gordon stated that he did not want to pursue any charges against [her] and again stated that he just wanted her to leave his residence. Gordon stated that he was not struck by the bottle but, did have a small cut on his left thumb.'
The focus quickly shifted however when the responding officers saw Leal, and her bloody lip.
'Leal stated that she was driving and Gordon then struck her in the right side of her cheek area several times,' stated the police report.
'Leal stated that he also pulled her hair and stated to her that he should make her wreck the vehicle. Leal stated that they then returned to his home and got into a verbal altercation.'
Gordon meanwhile said the same thing before, during and after his arrest.
'I didn`t hit her. She attacked me and ripped my shirt. She also threw a bottle at me. I just want her to leave my house,' Gordon told authorities.
He was handcuffed and taken to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility despite that claim, with the responding officers determining that Leal's bloody lip gave them probable cause in the case.
Gordon was previously arrested in June for battery and false imprisonment after Leal told police he pinned her to a bed and began to punch her while the two were living at his mother's home.
Leal later dropped those charges and told DailyMail.com that she was the aggressor in an exclusive interview.

Police have been investigating Nick Gordon since the 2015 death of his fiancée Bobbi Kristina Brown, with whom he shared an Alpharetta, Georgia, home
No charges have been brought although he was found civilly liable after a lawsuit brought against him
Now DailyMail.com can disclose that two women have told police about allegations of domestic abuse at his hands
One is Laura Leal, 26, who told DailyMail she feared Gordon, 28, would kill them as he attacked her in a bedroom at his mother's Sanford, Florida home
The other woman's identity is not being revealed but she has told detectives about abuse at his hands
'When she heard about what happened to Laura Leal she felt physically sick and knew it was time to finally come forward,' source tells.
Prosecutors are close to charging Nick Gordon over the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown after identifying two ex-girlfriends who can testify that he was a serial domestic abuser.
Gordon, 28, was held legally responsible for the 2015 death of Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston's daughter, in a civil case but has never faced criminal proceedings.
However DailyMail.com understands that investigators are 'increasingly confident' of bringing charges after identifying further 'victims' who can give accounts of his erratic, violent behavior.
They sought help from the first, 26-year-old Laura Leal, after Gordon was arrested earlier this month for allegedly holding her captive at his mother's Florida home and beating her.
In the spotlight: Nick Gordon is now the target of a newly-energized investigation by prosecutors in Georgia - who now have two women who say he abused them
Witness: Laura Leal, 26, claims Gordon beat her until she saw stars. Another woman is now telling prosecutors she was attacked too
Injuries: Laura Leal was left badly battered on her body. She told DailyMail.com Gordon pinned her to the bed and hit her repeatedly before she was able to escape, hitting him with a candle and apparently breaking his nose
Tragedy: Nick Gordon was the fiancé of Bobbi Kristina Brown until her death in a bath at the house they shared in Alfaretta, GA. He was not charged but held legally liable over her death. Now prosecutors are moving in on him
A second former flame then came forward after she read media reports of the alleged attack on Leal and said similarities in the way both women were allegedly abused by Gordon left her feeling 'physically sick'.
Her relationship with Gordon is said to date back to before the death of 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina, Houston's only child with the rapper Bobby Brown.
Investigators from Fulton County, Georgia, believe that demonstrating that Gordon has a years-long history of domestic abuse will significantly boost their case.
'Bobbi Kristina may no longer have a voice but these other women do,' a source with knowledge of the inquiry told DailyMail.com.
'They can tell a court exactly how he manipulated and bullied them. Their testimony could be the game-changer.'
Bobbi Kristina spent six months in a coma and never recovered after she was found submerged in a bathtub in January 2015 with drugs in her system and bruises to her chest.
Gordon, her fiancé, protested his innocence and insists he did everything he could to resuscitate the aspiring singer after finding her unconscious at their Alpharetta, Georgia home.
However he was held legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina's wrongful death and ordered to pay $36 million in damages when he failed to fight a civil case brought by her family last November.
A treble clef is carved into her tombstone. Coins, a small angel figurine and a small posy of fake flowers were all left at its foot. Bobbi Kristina died in July 2015 after spending months on life support following a drug overdose. Nick Gordon breaks silence about night Bobbi Kristina was found
Gordon now lives with his mother Michelle in Sanford, Florida, where he was arrested June 10 and charged with domestic violence battery and false imprisonment.
Leal, his live-in girlfriend of the past three months, told police he flew into a jealous rage and repeatedly punched her in the head after preventing her from leaving.
She escaped the night-long attack by striking him in the face with a decorative candle before bursting into his sleeping mother's bedroom to beg for protection.
In a subsequent interview with DailyMail.com Leal said the attack was the shocking conclusion to weeks of domestic abuse after Gordon seized control of her life by shutting out her family and destroying her phone.
'I've been reading the reports about Bobbi Kristina and I'm physically shaking,' she said.
'I read about her being isolated, her family not knowing where she was, the manipulation, the bullying - it's the exact same thing.'
Gordon denied hitting Leal - telling police he was the victim, not her - and did not comment further when he was released from jail last Tuesday on $15,500 bond.
Investigators from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office subsequently flew to Florida to speak with Leal, describing their conversation as 'fruitful' but not revealing what was discussed.
They were then contacted by the third alleged victim, who supplied photographs of her and Gordon and said she was prepared to support a prosecution.
'When she heard about what happened to Laura Leal she felt physically sick and knew it was time to finally come forward,' added the source.
'It's a brave thing of her to do and it could make all the difference.'
Bobby Kristina's death eerily mirrored the passing of her mother Whitney, who was found drowned in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel in February 2012.
Cocaine abuse and heart disease were later established as factors that contributed to the superstar diva's death.
An autopsy on Bobbi Kristina similarly listed drug intoxication and the immersion of her face in the water as decisive factors.
Gordon was taken in by Houston at the age of 12 and considered Bobbi Kristina his 'Li'l Sis' before their relationship became romantic.
He was sued by her estate last year, accused of causing her wrongful death by giving her a 'toxic mixture' and also stealing from her bank account while she was comatose.
When neither he, nor his lawyer, showed up at a hearing last November, a Fulton County Superior Court judge ruled against him by default.
A spokesman for the Fulton County District Attorney’s office said: 'We have nothing further to release at this time.'

I wish they'd just nail his azz and get it over with. Everyone knows hes responsible, sure hes most likely working with others "paid for hire", but hes the fall guy, so why hasnt he fallen?. Everything around that case that morning was suspect, mainly how he was acting. He did it. The whole time he was bringing it to her, giving it to her, using it with her, and helping supply it with that white boy. All of them shouldve gone down already. The whole thing was a hit against Whitney's legacy. But either way, they shouldve been prosecuted already.
