Pop singer Lorde has ZERO chill - and ZERO respect for the deceased legend Whitney Houston.
The New Zealand pop singer posted a photo of a bathtub on Instagram Thursday, writing, “And iiii will always love you.” As we all know, the song was one of WhitneyHouston’s biggest hits, originally sung by country singer Dolly Parton.
Whitney fans weren't having it and blasted Lorde online:
"Of all the songs by all the singers in the world, Lorde had to caption a picture of her bathtub with Whitney Houston lyrics. "
"There’s literally no way Lorde didn’t know what she was doing.... a bathtub and Whitney lyrics?? That sh*t’s too calculated for a mere coincidence."
"Lorde posted a photo of a nice bathtub with Whitney Houston lyrics. Whitney Houston died in a bathtub. Oh no honey.."
Lorde has since apologized for the post, saying:
“Extremely extremely poorly chosen quote. I’m so sorry for offending anyone — I hadn’t even put this together, I was just excited to take a bath. I’m an idiot. Love Whitney forever and ever. Sorry again.”
Do you think Lorde wasn't thinking about what she was doing or this was a calculated move for some PR?
Look what she posted online:
You'll recall, Whitney died in a bathtub.
