Obama's parting letter to Trump: Read the four pieces of advice Barack offered Donald in handwritten letter he left in Oval Office desk drawer before leaving the White House

The contents of the letter President Obama wrote giving advice to President Trump have now been revealed.
On Sunday, CNN released the letter President Obama was seen slipping into a drawer in the Resolute desk in the Oval Office during some of his last moments of his presidency.
'Congratulations on a remarkable run,' Obama wrote. 'Millions have placed their hopes in you, and all of us, regardless of party, should hope for expanded prosperity and security during your tenure.'

WHAT PRESIDENT OBAMA WROTE PRESIDENT TRUMP 

Dear Mr. President -

Congratulations on a remarkable run. Millions have placed their hopes in you, and all of us, regardless of party, should hope for expanded prosperity and security during your tenure.

This is a unique office, without a clear blueprint for success, so I don't know that any advice from me will be particularly helpful. Still, let me offer a few reflections from the past 8 years.

First, we've both been blessed, in different ways, with great good fortune. Not everyone is so lucky. It's up to us to do everything we can [to] build more ladders of success for every child and family that's willing to work hard.

Second, American leadership in this world really is indispensable. It's up to us, through action and example, to sustain the international order that's expanded steadily since the end of the Cold War, and upon which our own wealth and safety depend.

Third, we are just temporary occupants of this office. That makes us guardians of those democratic institutions and traditions -- like rule of law, separation of powers, equal protection and civil liberties -- that our forebears fought and bled for. Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it's up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them.

And finally, take time, in the rush of events and responsibilities, for friends and family. They'll get you through the inevitable rough patches.

Michelle and I wish you and Melania the very best as you embark on this great adventure, and know that we stand ready to help in any ways which we can.

Obama described the office as 'unique' and 'without a clear blueprint for success.' 

'So I don't know that any advice from me will be particularly helpful,' he continued. 

But then articulated some of the lessons he had learned over the past eight years. 

'First, we've both been blessed, in different ways, with great good fortune,' Obama wrote. 'Not everyone is so lucky. It's up to us to do everything we can [to] build more ladders of success for every child and family that's willing to work hard.'

On a more personal note, Obama advised that during the 'rush of events and responsibilities,' to take time for friends and family.

'Michelle and I wish you and Melania the very best as you embark on this great adventure, and know that we stand ready to help in any ways which we can,' Obama said at the end of the letter, signing it with his initials 'B.O.' 

Two days after inauguration, the newly-sworn in President Trump taunted reporters with the letter.   

'I just went to the Oval Office and found this beautiful letter from President Obama. It was really very nice of him to do that and we will cherish that, we will keep that and we won't even tell the press what's in that letter,' Trump said holding up the piece of paper.

Dear Barack,

Congratulations on becoming our President. You have just begun a fantastic chapter in your life.

Very few have had the honor of knowing the responsibility you now feel. Very few know the excitement of the moment and the challenges you will face.

There will be trying moments. The critics will rage. Your "friends" will disappoint you. But, you will have an Almighty God to comfort you, a family who loves you, and a country that is pulling for you, including me. No matter what comes, you will be inspired by the character and compassion of the people you now lead.

CNN reported that Trump has since shown the letter to Oval Office visitors.   

Presidents leaving a letter for their successor has become a presidential tradition.

President George W. Bush congratulated Obama before his inauguration in 2009. 

'You have just begun a fantastic chapter in your life,' Bush wrote optimistically. 

Though he warned about the trials the presidency has to offer as well. 

'The critics will rage. Your "friends" will disappoint you. But, you will have an Almighty God to comfort you, a family who loves you, and a country that is pulling for you, including me,' Bush said. 

Eight year before, Bush received a letter from President Bill Clinton. 

'Today you embark on the greatest venture, with the greatest honor, that can come to an American citizen,' Clinton penned to Bush in January 2001.

Dear George,

Today you embark on the greatest venture, with the greatest honor, that can come to an American citizen.

You lead a proud, decent, good people. And from this day you are President of all of us. I salute you and wish you success and much happiness.

The burdens you now shoulder are great but often exaggerated. The sheer joy of doing what you believe is right is inexpressible.

My prayers are with you and your family. Godspeed.

And eight years before that, President George H.W. Bush, who was beaten by Clinton when running for a second term, offered words to his political rival as well.

In fact let's face the reality if every groups pack up and leave with hold their services and resources from black people or the community what will they have let's face it, niggers are so comfortable they have nothing, they don't own nothing everything is being provided to them by the white men or others, now how will they survive, what do black people own that can keep them living, I mean can someone even name one thing, negros are in so position to be protesting and marching, they shoukd be trying to obtain government resources to build the community just like the Jews and every one else do, they pimp the government, that dude Ben Carson suppose ti be in charge of the urban program, who is using him, who is making sure he brings anything to the community? So far I have not heard anything that he does so technically he is doing nothing and for the next 3 years everything thay could of come to the community will be going back to the government and will be use towards other community and the so. rafael monzon I study these weak minded negros they all say the same thing, repeats after each other. Won't research what they hear are being told, as much as they complaint about the white men they like to sit and wait for the white men to do for them, just like you stated in your comment, when Obama was in office they think Everything was suppose to be done for free and was going to hand out for free which he did to some with that welfare benefits which why many negros did not work or even think about starting a business under him, oh hell when it comes to politics negros are the most ignorant and dumb group in this society they votes for Obama without knowing anything about him or who he is but because he was black, negros are the poison holding back the black race get rid of them and see how beautiful black people will remain

It's the slave mentality that causes self doubt. I have worked around every nationality and I can say there's not one that don't gripe about the job. The difference is the way others think as opposed to what has been passed down through generations. Problem is everybody just wanna be heard but It's easier to teach by example that it is by word of mouth. Children will follow other children as they look to say I can do what you can too. If they have older siblings they mock the older ones looking for attention. Problem is no one properly showed the older sibs how to think outside the box so they immulate the parents who weren't taught so the endless cycle doesn't end. Lack of learning leads to lack of trust. One never learns how to trust therefore never steps forward to initiate that conversation, that sence of empowerment. That's when Barack was in office everybody laid back and said everything's going to be alright now. Some criticized him for not doing enough when they never did anything themselves. So until we stop, and say hey the person I'm accusing of holding me back is actually myself we are never going to move forward. So Mr 1stroke I can read you're comments and say you've got a valid point case was made and backed with facts.

These are a few examples why negros are retarded:
Those who are in church say they won't sit with Trump because he is a racist and a womanizer, ok let see those same church people stand by theirs pastors when they caught sleeping with another man, a little boy or another man's wife, but want to crucify Trump for what he said

If you catch a church person doing something wrong the first thing they say, they are only human, God is a merciful God he knows their heart so he forgive them, but if you are not a Christian you do the same, they want to kill you and hold it against you for ever, no forgiveness.


The so call pastors and black leaders say they will not sit with Trump, but when those candidates are running for office they come to the streets or the people they go straight to the church, that's why your pastors sell you out, you are a bunch of hypocrites
