A New York Giants player is accused of trying to violently rape a woman at a Manhattan hotel before hitting her with his car as he fled the scene early on Saturday morning.
Police say that Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley, 23, was messaging with a 26-year-old woman online before meeting her at the Hyatt Herald Square.
Cops told the New York Post that the two engaged in a consensual sexual act before 306 pound Bromley who towers over six feet became violent with her and attempted to rape her.
Accused of rape: Police say that Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley, 23, was messaging with a 26-year-old woman online before meeting her at the Hyatt Herald Square where he attempted to violently rape her
The pair went down to the lobby and the woman was allegedly hit by Bromley's car as he was driving away from the hotel. An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made but the Giants spokesperson told The New York Post that they are 'aware of the situation.'
'We have notified the league office per the league’s protocol. We will have no further comment as we understand this is an ongoing investigation,' the spokesperson said.
Bromley's sister, Stephanie Nimmons, told the NY Daily News the woman was after money and discredited her allegations.
'I think it's just money,' Nimmons said. 'She's doing it for money, whoever she is.'
If Bromley is arrested, he will be following in the footsteps of his convict father who in 1994 was sentenced up to 25 years behind bars for beating a prostitute and tying her to a radiator in his basement, according to the Post.
Bromley's father was a pimp and he was born a crack baby. He was raised by his sister and earned a scholarship to Syracuse University after playing High School football.
Bromley played at Syracuse from 2010-13 and in two seasons with the Giants, he has appeared in 24 games and made 41 tackles, according to Syracuse.com

WOMEN GET A JOB AND STOP TRYING TO USE MEN TO GET MONEY!!! DAMN!
These young brothers that are blessed to play sports (football, basketball, and baseball) have to start making better decisions off the field. These women know who exactly who you are and are looking to strike a quick payday.
Something doesn't sound too right with this story..There's a lot of details missing, ..hopefully, the truth will come out.
