Mo’Nique Calls for Netflix Boycott Plus, Kanye’s New Baby’s Name Is…:Celebrity Wrap Up

Mo’Nique vs. Netflix The only thing that could get between actress/comedian Mo’Nique and her money is a boycott. According to Thatgrapejuice, Mo’Nique released a video in which she talked about a meeting with the stream giant to broadcast an original comedy special. The talks apparently hit a brick wall when it got down to dollars and cents. Thatgrapejuice reports, Mo’Nique felt “shortchanged” saying, “she was offered $500,000 while caucasian comic Amy Schumer netted over $11 million for her deal. She also highlighted Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle, who commanded even more.” Here’s what the comedian posted on social media.

Mo’Nique ended her IG post with #standwithme and while some responses did show support, a lot of people clearly are not with the comedian on this one…

One poster pointed out that Mo’Nique is contradicting herself in this video. But the contradiction is asking people to support her money issues with Netflix while jeopardizing other Black actors/comedians/directors/writers with shows on Netflix like “Luke Cage”, “Bright” “Dave Chappelle” and “Chris Rock”. Judging from most of the non-favorable responses, it doesn’t sound like a Netflix boycott is likely.

Kanye’s New Baby Girl’s Name Is WHAT? Kanye and Kim made the world wait a couple of days to learn their newborn’s name and it was well worth the wait. According to TMZ, the couple “chose a very unique name for baby #3 — Chicago … Kanye’s hometown … but it’s a good bet she’ll be known by a certain nickname.”

As TRN told you earlier, the couple welcomed their third child via surrogate on Monday. The baby arrived weighing a healthy 7 lbs. 6 oz. Chicago has two older siblings, 4 year old North and a sister 2-year old Saint.

You don't have an argument if you don't have the market to draw money in by your talent.
Those other black artist are bring in the marketable crowd..

Monique needs to establish herself in the black base and the crossover crowd that she's not doing..
