Kanye West paid 250K to a family member who threatened to release a SEX TAPE of the rapper with a 'fair-skinned black woman' discovered on his laptop
Kanye West, once a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, is now backing away from the former star of "The Apprentice."
As we previously reported, West said "would've voted for Trump" during a November stop in San Jose on his "Saint Pablo Tour."
On December 13, 2016, the rapper met with the then president-elect at Trump Tower in New York City. When the two emerged in the lobby following their 15-minute chat, both smiled and shared a hug.
Trump told reporters that West was a "good man." He later added that they have been friends "a long time."
"I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues," Yeezy later tweeted. "Those issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums and violence in Chicago."
TMZ reports that theG.O.O.D. Music CEO, has now scrubbed all mentions of Trump from his Twitter. According to the website, West is not happy with Trump's actions since he's taken office. He's particularly upset about the executive order the president signed on January 27, 2017, establishing extreme vetting of people coming to the U.S. from seven-Muslim majority countries.
U.S. District Senior Judge James Robart temporary halted the ban on Friday, February 4. The Justice Department is appealing Robart's ruling.

Kanye West's cousin Lawrence Franklin tells DailyMail.com that the rapper cut himself off from the family after the incident and became distrustful of people in his inner circle
Franklin said that the relative found the video of Kanye having sex with an unknown light-skinned African-American woman
The video was on a laptop the rapper had given away as a gift in 2012
Eventually he paid the relative $250,000 to hand over the only copy of the tape
Kanye was so upset by the incident he began to retreat from his family and became 'disconnected', Franklin said
The rapper's song Real Friends, released earlier this year, is about the incident, according to Franklin
Franklin, 31, also revealed how Kanye, still grieving for his beloved mother Donda, struggles to live in the Kardashians' world
He believes Donda, who died in 2007 from complications that arose from elected plastic surgery, would not approve of Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian
Kanye West's cousin Lawrence Franklin (right, with Kanye and their aunt Shirley) says that a family member found a video of Kanye having sex with an unknown woman on a laptop the rapper had given away in 2012.
Franklin says that the rapper cut himself off from the family after the incident and became distrustful of people in his inner circle
Franklin, also revealed how Kanye, still grieving for his beloved mother Donda (center with Kanye and his cousin Stephan), struggles to live in the Kardashians' world
He believes Donda, who died in 2007 from complications following elected plastic surgery, would not approve of Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian and says that had she still been alive Kanye would not have had to be admitted to the hospital for his breakdown.
'The sex tape episode started his decline - he stopped trusting people,' Franklin explained.
'At the end of the day if a member of your family had taken you for a quarter of a million dollars - so they can complete their own ambitions - who can you trust within your circle?
'This was also around the time when his mother has just died and he takes a lot of responsibility for that.
'When you go from being a regular person to being a huge star - and having all of these mounting issues and being completely void of the normalcy that you once had - it's tough.
'Where do you go? Who do you trust at the end of the day?'
Franklin, an entrepreneur and producer, says the sex tape was discovered in late 2012 - the same year Kanye had started dating his now-wife.
Kanye had gifted a family member a laptop - and the family member in turn had lent the laptop to another family member.
Franklin, who is based out of Los Angeles, said: 'I was at my aunt's house when the family member who had the laptop called me, a friend of his, and my uncle to the kitchen where he opened the laptop to show a video of Kanye in clear view having sex with a fair-skinned black woman.
Franklin claims that the Kardashian faimly does 'not represent our family values' and that Kanye's mother, Donda, would not approve of Kanye marrying into the family
'The family member knew what he had was gold, and later called an old friend of his that was an attorney.
'He put together a small team him and his attorney went after Kanye, and to show that they meant business they leaked a little information publicly to let it be know they indeed had the footage.
'The family member tried to keep a low profile but it was not long before Kanye's team learned who it was that had the sex tape.'
The person received numerous offers for the tape - including from a porn website, Franklin claims.
Desperate to stop the tape from being leaked, Kanye enlisted a team of friends and attorneys who did everything they could to get the laptop back.
'Kanye was adamant that the tape would never get released,' Franklin said.
'I'm not entirely sure why but one can only assume that because the woman in the video was not Amber Rose or Kim, or any woman he was linked with - that could have been the reason.
'Eventually the family member agreed to give Kanye the laptop for a large amount of money - more than $250,000, and ensure there were no other copies.
'He was was also required to take a lie detector test regarding the laptop.
'The family member got this money and started to buy himself a lifestyle he dreamed about.
'This did make Kanye upset, but it was all kept quiet. It caused a huge rift in our family.'
Kanye, pictured right with family members, released the song Real Friends earlier this year, which Franklin says is about the sex tape incident
Donda West in brown shirt and other family outside her house in Playa del Rey, died in 2007 from complications that arose from elected plastic surgery
Kanye was so upset by the incident he began to retreat from his family and became 'disconnected'.
The song Real Friends, released earlier this year, is about the incident, according to Franklin.
The lyrics for the song are:
'I had a cousin that stole my laptop that I was f*ckin' b****** on. Paid that n***a 250 thousand just to get it from him. Real friends…Huh?'
It was around this time that Kanye's erratic behavior - including bizarre Twitter spats and on-stage rants - started.
Franklin believes this is because his cousin had no one to turn to:
He couldn't trust his close family and friends, and his new life with the Kardashian family was so far from reality for the star.
Franklin said: 'I feel that kind of behavior happens when you have no one to turn to, you can't trust your friends and you have no one to talk to.
'For the most part I don't look at the Kardashians as real people.
'Kanye comes from a very family-orientated environment with roots and African American family lifestyle - you know family reunions with food and things like that.
'The Kardashians are the complete opposite of what's familiar in our community.
'So it's kind of weird for him and I can understand there's no way for him to release that.
Kanye and Kim got together in early 2012, five years after Donda's shock death, and married in 2014
'However when family begins to do you wrong where do you retreat?'
Another issue Franklin believes may have affected Kanye is that his mother Donda would not have approved of his wife Kim.
The pair got together in early 2012, five years after Donda's shock death, and have since had two children together three-year-old North and one-year-old Saint.
'The Kardashians do not represent our family values,' Franklin said. 'Kim Kardashian made her way to fame through another sex tape and by showing her body - that's who she is.
'When it comes down to substance, from the outside looking in - it doesn't reflect what's reality to us.
'Those are industry people, they live their lives for the camera.
'Everything they do is for the camera. They are always showing their bodies to get attention from the camera and at the end of the day that isn't real.
'If everything was gone who are you in the mirror?
'I'm not personally sure how Aunt Donda would have received the Kardashians other than a good business move.
'If there was no fame, no fortune and no celebrity status and there was a woman who represented the things that Kim represents, knowing what Aunt Donda represented, she would not have approved.
'She represented class, dignity and respect, woman power and black power and she loved God.
'So outside of the industry, Aunt Donda would not have approved of Kim Kardashian - that's the truth.'
Kim and Kanye have two children together - three-year-old North (in Kim's arms) and one-year-old Saint (in Kanye's arms)
Kim & Kanye step out in NYC with their children in August
Franklin believes that Kanye's grief for his mother - who he enjoyed a close relationship with - has also contributed to his breakdown.
Donda, a former college professor who raised only child Kanye as a single mother, moved to Los Angeles from Chicago with her son to help him with his burgeoning career.
She handled many of his affairs and often acted as a 'momager'.
Her death in 2007 from complications arising from liposuction and breast augmentation surgery left a huge hole in Kanye's life - and one he blames himself for.
'Aunt Donda was the most loving person you have ever met in your life - she was a college professor, an educator, a very smart woman,' Franklin said.
'She was very beautiful and very family oriented always. She always participated in family functions.
'She embraced her black womanhood - she embraced every essence of that from her hair to the way she dressed.
'She was also an active participant in the civil rights sit-in in Oklahoma.
'All of that transferred over to Kanye and as an only child they were naturally very close. He was a mama's boy, which is represented in his early music.
'Kanye was the apple of her eye. She was a huge supporter of his career and kept all of his pictures, his artwork, his awards.
'I remember when he first got his house on Fairfax, he had a big party and I remember she was there and she started yelling his name three times because she was so proud of him and where he had come.
Franklin said Donda supported her son through thick and thin - and would be by his side now offering words of encouragement if she were still alive
'We were all shocked by her death - it was something no one expected. She was so vibrant and full of life and love, then she was gone. It took its toll on everyone but Kanye the most.
'Kanye believed that had it not been for his fame and fortune in the entertainment industry, Aunt Donda would never have been consumed by Hollywood and tried to fit into that lifestyle and she would never have got that surgery.
'If you look at pictures you can see that she used to be very much about her naturalness. So he blames himself for that and how do you get over that?'
Franklin said Donda supported her son through thick and thin - and would be by his side now offering words of encouragement if she were still alive.
Even more poignantly, Franklin believes that Kanye would never have ended up in the hospital if his mother had not passed away when she did.
'When Kanye was in the hospital after his car accident in 2002 Aunt Donda was there at the hospital in a matter of moments
'First flight out there, she made sure she was right by his side and at his every beck and call.
'If she was here today she would do nothing but love on him and encourage him and uplift him and be by his side.
'But to be honest if she was here today he probably wouldn't be going through all this because she was his rock. That's the truth.'

Kanye West Meets With Donald Trump. Shares A Hug With The President-Elect (Video)
Kanye West's meeting with Donald Trump today was the first step towards a big long term goal the rapper has for his hometown of Chicago.
For years Chi-town has been plagued by violence. Most of it due to warring gang factions. The city currently sits atop the U.S. murder rate for 2016 with 757 fatalities, and we're still a couple of weeks away from 2017.
Although the topic wasn't broached during their 15-minute sit down atTrump Tower, sources close to West told TMZ he wanted to get on the president-elect's "radar" and eventually work with him to bring peace to Chicago.

One recurring theme during the last several stops of Kanye West's now cancelled "Saint Pablo Tour" was the rapper's vocal support of president-elect Donald Trump.
Turns out he was very serious.
On Tuesday, December 13, the rapper visited Trump Tower in New York City and met with the outspoken former star of "The Apprentice" for 15 minutes.
When the two later emerged together in the lobby they posed for the cameras.
Trump told reporters that West was a "good man." He later added that they have been friends "a long time."
Before West left he and Trump hugged and shook hands.

She is also allegedly trying to 'build a case for full custody of the kids North and Saint.' The site also stands by its earlier claim that West is not living with Kardashian inside their Bel-Air mansion. Citing multiple sources, they report the Yeezy star has been residing in an LA-area rental as an outpatient. (A source previously denied this to DailyMail)

Immediately after the singer's hospitalization, sources claimed she asked for a break before flying to New York City for her first public appearance since her October robbery in Paris.
That request reportedly sent him into a tailspin.
'It's just been hell for them,' a source told Us Weekly last month. 'It has become unbearable.' It was added they were fighting a lot.

It was that incident that has been giving Kanye nightmares, according to some published reports this week, exacerbating his depression and anxiety that came with the ninth year anniversary of his mother Donda's death.
Donda died at the age of 58 after suffering complications from elective surgery. Her funeral was November 20 - the same day Kanye cancelled his show at the L.A. Forum, and the following day he cancelled the rest of his tour and was later taken to the hospital.
The 39-year-old has been hospitalized for a week after reportedly going without sleep and acting 'paranoid and psychotic and struggling to identify what was real'.

'Beyonce I was hurt!': Kanye goes on epic rant during a concert
'He would be up all night ranting about things,' said the insider who added that Kanye 'unraveled' when he realized he can't do it all.
'He'd be up drawing, writing and sketching, or pacing and doing push-ups. he would not calm down and go to bed.'
Things reportedly came to a head when Kanye's on-stage rants became increasingly worrying and controversial, ending one of his concerts after just three songs.
In Sacramento, California, the rapper launched into a 15-minute tirade attacking friend Beyonce and begging Jay Z to call him before walking off stage.
Two days later, he canceled his remaining Saint Pablo tour dates.

DMX Shares Powerful Message To Kanye West On Instagram {VIDEO}
Kanye Westis now entering his second week of treatment at UCLA Medical Centerin Los Angeles. As of now there is no firm timetable for him to come home.
The "Good Life" hit maker was admitted Monday, November 21, following a psychiatric breakdown.
TMZ reports that the plan was for West to be released into the care of his personal physician on Monday, November 28. However, he is still battling extreme paranoia. He's expressed a fear that people are trying to ruin his marriage to Kim Kardashian.
For a period of time the G.O.O.D. Music CEO would not allow doctors at the treatment facility to touch him.
According to Us Weekly, things began to seriously spiral out of control for West following his wife's gunpoint robbery on October 3, inside her private residence at Hôtel de Pourtalès in Paris, France.
"He's been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris. It did a number on him as much as Kim," an insider told Us Weekly. "The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn't sleeping and he was having nightmares about it."
Kim has been by her husband's side throughout his hospital stay.
"She has been an unbelievably devoted spouse. He's a lucky man," a source told TMZ.
'Kanye was so close to his mom, holiday time is really difficult.' Family and Donda West's plastic surgeon say the hospitalized rapper's breakdown was triggered by the anniversary of her death.
DMX shares a powerful message to Kanye West on his Instagram page. This is the first time the rap legend is doing a video specifically for his Instagram page and Ye was on his mind.
Kanye West is currently hospitalized after having a mental breakdown that his doctor linked to exhaustion and dehydration. Since the news broke, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has been getting a lot of support from his rap peers including Kid Cudi, Pusha T, DMX and others.
“As my first Instagram joint that I did ever specifically for Instagram and I wanted to make sense,” DMX said in the video clip. “I want to give a special shout out to Kanye. Let him know that my prayers are with him. My family’s prayers are with him. When God is for you, who can be against you? No one or nothing. Stand strong, brother. Stand strong. God is in your corner.”

A family member believes it's no coincidence that his mother Donda West died on November 10, 2007
Plastic surgeon Jan Adams, who was wrongly blamed for Donda's death, says Kanye's fragile mental state is partly due to his lingering grief
He says Kanye is unwilling to move on and be at peace with himself over the tragedy
A family member reveals the death of rapper's grandfather, Portwood Williams, is also responsible for his troubled state of mind
Friends say the 'breakdown' was also triggered by marital problems with Kim, a rift with Jay Z and jealousy of Beyoncé

Dr Jan Adams - who at the time was himself wrongly blamed for Donda's sudden death - says Kanye's fragile mental state is partly due to Kanye's unwillingness to move on and be at peace with himself over the tragedy
Dr. Jan Adams - who at the time was himself wrongly blamed for Donda's sudden death - says Kanye's fragile mental state is partly due to Kanye's unwillingness to move on and be at peace with himself over the tragedy.
He told DailyMail.com: 'If nine years later Kanye can’t deal with it and wants to blame himself, then someone needs to stand up and say to him, "Come on, this is not your fault, dude. We need to turn the page. We can feel sad and we can miss her, but it doesn’t happen until you confront the truth.’
The doctor's comments come as a member of Kanye's family tells DailyMail.com that the superstar musician is 'broken, lost and hurt' and is 'highly sensitive' at this time of year, especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas being so family focused.
The relative, who asked not to be named, said: ‘Any time around the holidays is tough for him, he is an only child.
‘But he was very close to his mom, so this time of year... it’s really difficult.
‘Then on top of it, everything that happened with Kim in Paris, the build up to it is a lot, it’s a lot of pressure.
'Kanye is highly sensitive and highly protective of certain things which doesn't help.
Kanye had looked to his mother Donda for most of his career for the guidance and support he needed to be successful
Donda left a glittering career in education to be her son's general manager and at the time of her death she served as CEO of West Brands and chair of his charity Kanye West Foundation

Kanye needs to confront the truth on mother's death: Dr Adams
‘But people are so used to seeing him as a performer or as an icon, they don't see him as a normal person.
‘And really he is just like we all are, broken and lost and hurt, we all are made of different fragments as human beings.
‘With too much pressure it bursts and right now with everything hurting for him Kanye has burst.’
The family member also revealed that loss of the star's grandfather, Portwood Williams, who died three years ago aged 98, is another reason for Kanye's troubled state of mind.
Williams - who still had his wits about him even at his advanced age - was a tower of strength for the hip-hop performer, and his death served as another huge blow.
The retired furniture refinisher was a veteran of Oklahoma’s civil rights sit-ins of the 1950s and helped desegregate lunch counters.
He was married to Kanye's grandmother for 72 years, until wife Lucille died five years before him.
The family member added: 'Some of the people he really connects with are not here any more which hurts.
‘If you think Kanye is brilliant, well the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, his mother was a top educator, his grandfather was smart as hell, was a community activist, he has a statue in Oklahoma, there’s a long line of high achievers in the family.
‘But a lot of these big influences in Kanye's life are no longer here.'
The family member also believes the rapper's work ethic and 'winning' mentality contributed to his breakdown.
A source told Page Six that 'workaholic' Kanye 'often stays up and works for 48 hours at a time' and would call his team at all hours of the night.
The star cancelled the remaining 21 dates on his Saint Pablo Tour due to 'exhaustion'.
Kim Kardashian was due at a gala event on Monday night to honor her father Robert Kardashian
Kim rushed to LA from NYC after Kanye had a breakdown following concert cancellation
The relative, who lives in California, said: 'Kanye has a lot that he wants to accomplice, which is admirable, but you also have to learn how to balance it.
‘But he is committed to the game of winning. He really believes he can do anything, he really believes that. That’s powerful, but to a fault.'
Kanye had looked to his mother for most of his career for the guidance and support he needed to be successful.
She had raised him largely on her own in Chicago before becoming a crucial part of his music business.
Donda left a glittering career in education to be her son's general manager and at the time of her death she served as CEO of West Brands, LLC dab Super Good and chair of his charity Kanye West Foundation.
The rapper paid tribute to her with his 808s and Heartbreak album in 2008 and on the track Only One, released last year.
However, Donda's former surgeon Dr. Adams says Kanye needs to confront what really happened with her passing instead of wallowing in it, if he is to move on with his life.
Dr. Adams, 62, said: 'If he’s going off the rails, he needs to realize he’s the victim and its not his fault.
'When you’re around something bad and you don’t address it, your karma gets a little screwed.
'The truth has a way of coming back and coming back until it’s dealt with.
'When people deal with the truth they get better over time. When they don’t, they don’t go through that process and it stays the same.'
Donda’s 2007 surgery for a breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction was conducted on November 9 by Dr. Adams, who then signed care of her over to Kanye’s cousin, Stephan Scoggins and his family.
She died the next day.
Friends say the 'breakdown' was also triggered by marital problems, a rift with Jay Z and jealousy of Beyoncé
Dr. Adams has always maintained he’s been wrongly blamed for Donda’s death and autopsy reports viewed by DailyMail.com confirm his claim.
Dr. Adams was effectively cleared in the coroner’s report of any responsibility in Donda’s death.
After an investigation, Scoggins was also cleared.
The events on the day of Donda’s death at her home in Los Angeles are described in the LA coroner's investigator's narrative.
Officially the LA Coroner concluded Donda died of heart disease while suffering 'multiple post-operative factors' after plastic surgery.
Stephan Scoggins, Kanye's first cousin, was the nurse in charge of Donda West during her post operation care
Dr. Adams said: 'I think Kanye West feels guilty about knowing the truth and not speaking the truth. Isn't that his claim to fame, that he's right up front, right out there?
'If that's true why hasn't he said out loud 'there's one thing that's been bothering me, Dr. Adams had nothing to do with my mom's death, I don't know if you guys know it this is what happened it's sad. But I think the truth needs to be out there.
'If he had any balls or if he was any kind of man he could (speak up). But the real answer is he probably won't.'
At the time of Donda's death Dr. Adams was a successful surgeon and also had a profile as a US television celebrity, but following the publicity surrounding the death, his practice was affected and eventually closed.
To make matters worse Dr. Adams had his medical licence revoked in 2009 over a DUI charge and again in 2014 for not adhering to the terms of his probation.
Kanye West was hospitalized for his own safety on Monday after friends say he suffered a 'psychotic break.'
The rapper was behaving 'erratically' at the home of his personal trainer Harley Pasternak when someone called 911 Fire department dispatchers categorized the call as a 'psychiatric emergency.'
Sources say he was checked for 'severe sleep deprivation' when it was decided he had to be admitted Kanye reportedly tried to resist paramedics and had to be handcuffed to a gurney while being transported.
Friends say the 'breakdown' was also triggered by marital problems, a rift with Jay Z and jealousy of Beyoncé.
Wife Kim Kardashian was due at a gala in NYC on Monday to honor her father Robert Kardashian but jumped back on a plane to L.A. as news broke Kris Jenner was reportedly furious that Kanye 'ruined' the gala.

Roots aka TJ What De Ras we cannot sit and ask the question, if you have concern you have to address it right now he will not meet with you there unless necessary that is why every one comes to meet him, when he was running as a candidate was the time, but no one ever challenge him on that, all those bozo pastors were taking him to the church, so right now is the best time any one can set up a meeting before he move in to the white house, after that you can submit a white paper proposal so you will never get the answer to your question until you sit down with the man and give him a reason
Do you think Trump will meet with us in a community center in da hood?

El-Bull i will keep on asking every one who is against any one who sit with trump do they have a better idea, i have yet to hear one, now kanye is not the only one who is communicating with Trump and they are all have an agenda, kanye was there to raise awareness of the killing in the streets of chicago, ray lewis was there to create opportunity in the black community, those idiots who are against all that are the same idiots who is following lebron james, but dont realize the more he boycott those hotels the more jobs they will lose i hope they get him to support them, they listen to steve harvey now he is selling new books and signing new tv shows, they following Al Sharpton when many of us brothers were at his office and asked him to have a rally for demand he said they have propose demand that marching was not necessary not once but on several occasion we even called his radio shows during Bernie sanders campaign he said the same thing, now he wants to have a march for demand after all those years the democrats collapse the black community, they so comfortable getting hand out they dont realize its a form of slavery, you cant move ahead if you are getting the same thing everyday, and you live in a box i want to know what is every one's solution one of those people have to be smart why not share the ideas with us

mr1stroke I agree with you. as for Kanye, like the saying goes, he might be crazy but he's crazy like a fox LOL Black people don't seem to understand business or life. Often you will have to sit down with the enemy to get what you need and to gain insight into their mind sets ala the Art Of War.....and at the same time if you are capable you can manipulate outcomes in your favor no matter how minimal they are---you do it in increments...
