Last year the Jamaican dancers lost the World Reggae Dance competition at the hands of the the Japanese, and this year they suffered the same faith as Japanese dance groups left Independence City at Ranny Williams Entertainment Center last Saturday Night with top honors.
Last year the Japanese winners were Japan Squad and that sparked major argument in the Jamaican dancing world as they blamed the dancers for using similar routines. This year it was not different and unsurprisingly the results were the same.
Attack Dem Squad from Japan were placed first in the competition and Yellow Yellow Squad also from Japan was placed second. The only Jamaican dancers in the top three was Endeverous Dancers.
Two of the three sectional prizes also went to foreign dancers. The Jamaican dancers suffered because they used similar choreographs and the same song sections such as Tommy Lee Sparta's Duh Wey Mi Feel which was played almost 100 times by different Jamaican dance crews.
