Jamaica's Lisa Hanna says she's running for PNP VP

Chronixx Chastized The Jamaican Government

Lisa Hanna has announced her bid for vice president of the People's National Party (PNP) via social media.

Hanna, who is the current chairman of the PNP's Region One, made the announcement on Instagram Sunday afternoon using the hashtags #IAmRunning and #LisaVP2016

The MP for South East St Ann says she will be running in a bid to strengthen the PNP and make it inclusive. She says she wants to build a party that is more accountable and transparent to delegates and Jamaicans, as well as uses modern management principles.

Hanna continued in her message on Instagram that she wants to build a party that practises "build of politics rather than a 'tear down, cut down, stab you in the back politics".

Former national security minister and PNP general secretary, Peter Bunting, has also given strong indications that he will be contending for president in September.

Jamaica's Youth & Culture Minister Lisa Hanna fires back at Reggae artist Chronixx's 'dumb government …Lisa Hanna and Chronixx

Rastafarians have never been fans of the Jamaican government and vice versa.
Young reggae act Chronixx is making his voice be heard on his thoughts on the management of the Jamaican economy via his social media pages.
This is what Chronixx posted on Instagram:
“Good morning Chronixx, you’re smiling! No, I’m laughing. I’m laughing at the Jamaica government! And the poor people who applaud them and hang orange and green flags outside their board houses and on trees planted on “capture land”. I’m laughing at this dumb government who have never erected a live music venue in honour of reggae music even though it is the only reason why people is still visiting this beautiful island of bankruptcy. I’m laughing because I know something that ‘they don’t know’.”
Chronixx comments caught the attention Culture Minister Lisa Hanna who responded to the reggae singer via her Instagram page.
This is what she wrote on Instagram:
“I love your music and your passion; however, I want to remind you that both yourself and other artistes are benefiting today from the trade agreements now in place for cultural and creative services. Just a moment ago, I concluded a meeting on foreign trade for cultural services, as already many of our cultural goods have zero tariffs for international trade. I have personally called you and left messages on your phone – and never get a response – because I would like to hear your ideas that can be implemented. Stop blaming and lumping ‘all’ politicians together, it is unfair and untrue. Blessed love.”

A who Lisa think she a fool whatever infrastructure that is in place right now is due to the work of reggae artist, but like a politician true to form dem a come claim di fruits now, bout a den pant it. Up until this day reggae have not reach a quarter of its earning potential due mainly lackadaisic government who refuse to acknowledge, therefore denying the true value of reggae. If it wasn't fi Rastafari and some rebellious ghetto you dem woulda sell reggae to the highest bidder longtime and keep all the revenues fi dem self. Lava! hot! hot! Go down corrupt "govament" righteousness wi say.
