Jamaica police hunt for gunmen who killed 3 and hospitalized 1 in Montego Bay shop
The police are investigating circumstances surrounding the shooting of nine persons, three fatally late Wednesday by gunmen in the Corporate Area community of St. John’s Road.
According to police reports, shortly after 7 pm gunmen approached the nine – who were all sitting on a sidewalk and opened fire, killing three men – Adayon-Ian Stratcha, 23, Terrence Dixon and a man known only by his alias “Ricky”.
The others, including one woman were injured.
In the aftermath of the incident, police and soldiers were deployed to the area.
Police are searching for the gunmen who shot and killed three people in a shop in Canterbury in Montego Bay on Sunday night.
Police said that 67-year-old Nesline Young, Everald Wesley 24, and 38-year-old Heron Foster were killed after the gunmen fired upon them.
A fourth individual was admitted to hospital.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said the four people were at a shop when a grey motor vehicle approached. Two men emerged from the vehicle and shot at the men before escaping.
No motive has been established for the killings.
