Is Cardi B Lying About Her Grandmother Being 'Dark Skinned' {Does it matter?}

Cardi B Caught Lying About Her Grandmother Being 'Dark Skinned'!!
Cardi spoke out yesterday, against people who say that she's not Black. According to the female rapper, she's Black - because her grandmother is "dark skinned."

Cardi took to Instagram yesterday to explain her ethnicity to her fans.

The Dominican rapper claims that people don’t understand the difference between race, nationality and ethnicity. According to Cardi, many of her fans race bait when it comes to her.

Cardi's upset that some people feel that she’s not Black, but she asserts that her features don’t come from white people.

And as to the fact that her parents are both light skinned, Cardi has an answer to that critique as well.

Her maternal grandmother, in particular, is dark-skinned because she’s Caribbean - tells Cardi

Here are pics of Cardi's alleged dark skinned grandmother:

Cardi is not Black just like I'm not Hispanic. Cardi is not African, her Ancestors were indigenous Indians, specifically Taino Indians if she is Puerto Rican. She is not Black, stop the madness, she is not even Afro Latina, she is just Latina. Everybody wants to be a culture vulture.

People of color must STOP FORMING THE CIRCULAR FIRING SQUAD! Unless you come directly from the continent, none of us in the U.S. or Caribbean are PURE. We all have different levels of color and NONE of us are more "black" than the other. "DARK" is relative. To Cardi, her Grandmother may be dark compared to Cardi or some of her other relatives. So called BLACK people keep falling for the DIVIDE & CONQUER strategy of Europeans. All of us with African blood in our veins are African. "BLACK" is a state of mind and a political ideology. I even know some white people who are more black than many black people I know, and some black people who are whiter than many white people I know. Blackness is less about our complexion and more about our points of view. Since the times of enslavement, one person may have been left on an English speaking island, that person's sibling left on a Spanish speaking island and yet another sibling left on a French speaking island. They have ALL been colonized. In addition, like most people, Cardi has 2 Grandmothers. Do you know which Grandmother is shown here?

Yeah she's not Black she's just taking things meant for Black people but like always, we don't see the problem. She can call a dark skinned Black woman a "burnt roach" and nobody bats an eye SMH. That's why we as a people stay losing. It's not OK.

Why does being considered black has to mean you must look like you came from the Sahara desert?

It's perspective. A few of those light skinned humans from the Caribbean believe that they are better than those negras. Eugenics again.This discrimination has been documented in the Dominican Republic and elsewhere. We are all one race, human. Living on one planet, maybe. The economic slavery system is the enemy, not each other. We have been divided and conquered. Think logically, accept the truth, and,  live accordingly. Peace, always.
