Alex Lerner, Dan Gasby and B. Smith
The husband of late supermodel B. Smith (Barbara Smith) has revealed that the other woman who had been at the center of his marriage is no longer in his life.
Dan Gasby previously claimed that his partner of 27 years approved of his relationship with Alexandra Lerner.
Lerner had reportedly moved into the house Dan shared with his wife prior to her death, which he adamantly denied in a recent interview, saying “Not true. She never lived there.”
Gasby also touched on the hype surrounding his relationship with Lerner, which he believes was because she’s white. He then revealed that he and Alexandra are no longer in a relationship, stating “She took off. Whatever.”
“Wish her well. Life has a way of whatever you deserve you’ll ultimately get,” he added.
Hear him tell it via the Twitter video embed below.
Last year, Gasby and Lerner agreed to a profile in the Washington Post and spoke about the criticism they faced after going public with their relationship. At the time, Dan was also caring for his wife as shebattled Alzheimer’s disease.
Dan and Alex also appeared on the “Dr. Oz Show” to discuss the backlash over his seemingly extramarital affair.
“All the ones that know B are extremely supportive extremely supportive, have no problems with it,” said Gasby. “The people, because she’s a celebrity, a personality quote, unquote, they weigh in, and what they do is they attach what they feel B would. They attach their feelings as ‘Well, B doesn’t know. She wouldn’t want this.’ Well, if B knew, I wouldn’t be with Alex because she wouldn’t have Alzheimer’s.”
Following Smith’s diagnosis with the disease, Gasby became her full-time caretaker at their East Hampton home, where Lerner was also said to be staying when visiting from Manhattan.
“I mean, we’ve had death threats,” Gasby said on Dr. Oz. “I mean, we’ve had people just do all kind of crazy things. They’ve never been to our restaurants. We don’t know them. They make all kind of racial innuendos.”

'We've always been in the public eye she said "I want you to go on, I don't want you to sit in a room with me and not have a life."'

B and Dan married in 1992, and the pair still remain married and live together in New York

Speaking of his wife's condition Dan described her as a '69-year-old' toddler who has become increasingly difficult to care for.
He said: 'You lose the ability to understand everything you don't know what day what week what month, what year it is, you don't know even how to toilet yourself.
'I call it living in hell without the heat.'
Dan went on to describe how he had initially turned to drink while trying to cope with his wife's diagnosis.
He went on: 'It's very frustrating and it caused me quite honestly to drink to much at a point to gain 30lbs to feel like I was in hell.
'I love her and I wanted to take care of her, which I'm doing, but...you start to live symbiotically their lives, and their lives start to close and shut down.'

'It has been very hard, there have been very hard judgments on me that are completely unexpected and unwarranted. It's been very rough.'
Dan goes on to describe the isolation he felt before he met Alex.
He tells Ruth: 'Loneliness is deadly. Loneliness creates depression, Loneliness creates the feeling of hopelessness that causes you to spiral into things that ultimately take you down that will kill you.'
B. Smith's diagnosis came to light in 2014 when she was found in Manhattan after she went missing in Long Island.

WHAT IS ALZHEIMER'S?
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease of the brain, in which build-up of abnormal proteins causes nerve cells to die.
This disrupts the transmitters that carry messages, and causes the brain to shrink.
More than 5 million people suffer from the disease in the US, where it is the 6th leading cause of death.
WHAT HAPPENS?
As brain cells die, the functions they provide are lost.
That includes memory, orientation and the ability to think and reason.
The progress of the disease is slow and gradual.
On average, patients live five to seven years after diagnosis, but some may live for ten to 15 years.
EARLY SYMPTOMS:
Loss of short-term memory
Disorientation
Behavioral changes
Mood swings
Difficulties dealing with money or making a phone call
LATER SYMPTOMS:
Severe memory loss, forgetting close family members, familiar objects or places
Becoming anxious and frustrated over inability to make sense of the world, leading to aggressive behavior

Bravo has just greenlit a new reality show star legendary Black model B Smith, her husband Dan Gasby, and his mistress Alex Lerner.
According to an EXTREMELY RELIABLE insider, former Real Housewives Of Atlanta producer Carlos King has signed on to produce a reality show for Dan, B, and Alex - and Bravo has already GREENLIT THE PROJECT.
The show, the snitch tells MTO News, will follow the life of B Smith, Dan and Alex- and will focus on, "The fabulous life of Alex and Dan, and how they lovingly take care of B Smith."
Dan and his new mistress Alex will reportedly live the high life - splitting their time between NYC and The Hamptons. And B Smith will be "lovingly cared for" by the couple.
Producer/creator Carlos King is known for bringing the BEST reality shows on television - all of his shows are FULL of drama and VERY messy.
B. Smith, 69, was a millionaire, a top model, a restauranteur, and a TV personality - many referred to her as the Black Martha Stewart. But her life took a turn for the worse 10 years ago, when she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Since then, her husband of 27 years, Dan Gasby, a former TV executive, has been caring for her. In 2016, the couple wrote a book about the early stages of Alzheimer’s titled "Before I Forget: Love, Hope, Help, and Acceptance in Our Fight Against Alzheimer's."
Last year Dan Gasby, 64, did something that many think is unthinkable. He started openly carrying on a relationship with a White woman, 53-year-old Alex Lerner .
Dan moved Alex into the home that B Smith purchased with her fortune - and is openly dating Alex, using the money that B Smith accumulated with him.
All the while, his wife B Smith continues to deteriorate mentally.
Many fans of B. Smith are upset with what Dan and Alex are doing. The fans believe that it is disrespectful for Dan to openly date his girlfriend and constantly post to his social media images of the girlfriend and B. Smith as she battles her heartbreaking disease.

On Tuesday, he hit back at dozens of critics in a post shared on Facebook
B. Smith's husband has lashed out at her fans who have criticized him for having a girlfriend while his wife battles Alzheimer's.
'I love my wife but I can’t let her take away my life!' Dan Gasby explained in a post shared on the B. Smith and Dan Gasby Facebook page.
Gasby was responding to the dozens of people who have criticized his relationship with his new girlfriend, Alex Lerner.
Lifestyle guru Smith, who is 69, was diagnosed with the disease in 2013.
'To the nickel & dime PayPal thot troll named after two European cities B lived in and all of us have travelled too extensively, to the writer and editor at The Neg-Grio! Who ginned up controversy by covertly spewing racist innuendo, to the bloggers who wallow in the mud and filth of lies, to the idiots and ignorant people calling for my arrest and saying B is or has ever been abused I only wish someone in your immediate family has Alzheimer’s so you can see feel and experience the pain of millions of people across this country so you can know first hand what it’s like to care 24/7/365 for someone who can no longer care for themselves!' Gasby wrote.
Gasby continued to blast his critics, including 'those religious Neanderthal who judge as if Jesus was a ball and God is a bat swinging wildly and judging harshly I say to you! BSmith’s worst day is 10x better than you’ve experienced'.

'5-10 years from now when many of you who will have an almost predestined meeting with Alzheimer’s because of genetics, obesity, and a myriad of inflammatory diseases, you’ll be wishing for someone to share moments with and ease the pain of loneliness and despair.
'The clock is ticking I know I can and have manage this but can you do it too?' Gasby concluded.
Gasby's post comes a day after several of Smith's fans expressed their outrage at Gasby's new relationship.
Smith was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2013 after more than four years of suffering from dementia symptoms.
Since her diagnosis, her husband has continued to care for her in their home in East Hampton, New York.
But along the way, Gasby found it difficult to care for Smith, and in the summer of 2017, he met Lerner, according to The Washington Post.

Another Twitter user called it 'situation ethics at its best' (above)
'You don’t bring your mistress in the house where your WIFE lives. She’s not dead,' one user wrote on the B. Smith and Dan Gasby Facebook page.
A YouTube vlogger said that Lerner is 'having her lifestyle funded by a black woman'.
'This white woman didn’t have to build a thing with you [Gasby],' the vlogger added.
One Twitter user quoted a line from the Post's article.
'"When B. was lucid, she and Dan sometimes clashed over his flirtations." B has no family and her husband moves in a woman who has everything to gain should B suffer an "accident". We'll see this on Investigation Discovery Channel,' the user tweeted.
Another Twitter user called it 'situation ethics at its best'.
But Dana Gasby, Smith's step-daughter, said she gave her father her blessing when he finally told her about his relationship with Lerner.
Dana told the Post: 'When he told me, I was like, "Thank God. I'm happy."'
She told the newspaper that despite how the public feels, her father hasn't abandoned Smith at all.
'She’s in this house. She’s here every day,' she said.
Lerner also said that it makes her feel good that she can help Smith on a daily basis.
'If I can be compassionate to her, if I can do anything for her, it makes me feel good,' Lerner told the newspaper.

'If it is giving her something to drink, or making her something to eat - she loves to eat - I feel good,' Lerner added.
There were also several fans who supported Dan Gasby's decision to date again.
'I wonder how many of those that are downing you Dan have ever been a caregiver of someone with Alzheimer's? I have been there but not 24 hours a day every day. I am not judging you because this is your life and B's life,' one user wrote on Facebook.
'Make it what you want it to be and don't ever forget to take care of yourself. Prayers for you and B!' the user added.
