Actor Jussie Smollett has hit back at a social media post comparing him to a schoolgirl who made up a story about how she was pinned down and had her dreadlocks cut off by white classmates.

Self-help internet star, Derrick Jackson, posted a comment on Instagram comparing the former Empire actor to Amari Allen, who alleged three white boys hacked off her hair and later retracted the claims.

Smollett then fired back in a lengthy post, claiming he 'hadn't lied about a thing', when he alleged two men attacked him in a racial and homophobic assault.

The actor was axed from Empire after police determined that he staged a racist hate attack in Chicago - claiming that two men in Trump hats attacked him and put a noose around his neck -  and charged him with filing a false police report. Those charges were then later dropped by Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.

And Smollet is still insistent that the attack took place, hitting back at Jackson yesterday for saying 'Jussie really is a trendsetter' in response to a story about 12-year-old Amari Allen's admission that three white classmates did not attack her.

JUSSIE SMOLLET'S RESPONSE TO  DERRICK JACKSON

With all due respect brother, y'all can clown me all you want but my story has actually never changed and I haven't lied about a thing.

'Y'all can continue to be misinformed, internalized sheep, who believe what actual proven liars feed you or you can read the actual docs. Either way, Imma be alright. I know me and what happened. You don't. So carry on. All love.'

Smollett then replied around an hour later: 'With all due respect brother, y'all can clown me all you want but my story has actually never changed and I haven't lied about a thing.

Amari Allen claimed last week she was held down by three white boys who cut her hair off at their Christian $12,000-a-year school, where Mike Pence's wife Karen works as a teacher part-time.

The 12-year-old said the boys at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia brandished a pair of scissors in the playground and 'took big chunks of my hair and just cut'.

Amari appeared on local news networks to tell her story and said she was about to go down a slide when the three bullies 'ambushed' her.

She also gave a tearful interview afterwards, claiming the group called her hair 'ugly' and 'nappy' - a racist term that is used to derogatorily describe African American women's hair.

Amari also said her attacker allegedly shared photos of her uneven hair after the incident.

But on Monday the child's family issued a statement saying it was false and apologized to the boys. Why the claims were fabricated remains unclear.

The family asked for forgiveness in their statement and said they had 'betrayed the wider community.'

'To those young boys and their parents, we sincerely apologize for the pain and anxiety these allegations have caused.

'To the administrators and families of Immanuel Christian School, we are sorry for the damage this incident has done to trust within the school family and the undue scorn it has brought to the school.

'To the broader community, who rallied in such passionate support for our daughter, we apologize for betraying your trust.

'We understand there will be consequences and we're prepared to take responsibility for them. We know that will take time to heal, and we hope and pray that the boys, their families, the school and the broader community will be able to forgive us in time.'

Stephen Danish, head of Immanuel Christian School, said in a statement on Monday: 'We can now confirm that the student who accused three of her classmates of assault has acknowledged that the allegations were false.

'We're grateful to the Fairfax County Police Department for their diligent work to investigate these allegations.

Amari said she didn't tell anyone about the attack until days later when her grandmother noticed her hair was uneven. The pre-teen's dreadlocks are seen before the incident

'While we are relieved to hear the truth and bring the events of the past few days to a close, we also feel tremendous pain for the victims and the hurt on both sides of this conflict.

'We recognize that we now enter what will be a long season of healing.'

The 37-year-old actor maintains the attack on a street in Chicago in January, during which he claimed two men beat him, put a noose around his neck, poured a chemical over him, and made racist and homophobic remarks, was not staged.

Felony charges including 16 counts of filing a false police report against Smollett were abruptly dropped, prompting Illinois Cook County Judge Michael Toomin last month to appoint a special counsel to investigate.

The probe by Judge Toomin into why charges against Smollett were dropped will not only will investigate how the Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx and her office handled the case, but determine whether the Empire actor should be further prosecuted for allegedly staging the 'hoax' hate crime.

The city of Chicago filed a $130,000 lawsuit against the star over the cost of their investigation into the claims.
