Grandmother Shields Grandson from Cops Aiming Guns at Him in Viral Video [WATCH]

Tye Anders arrest

A disturbing video has gone viral showing the moment a 90-year-old grandmother tried to protect her grandson from cops aiming guns at him for running a stop sign.

The incident reportedly went down Texas on Saturday afternoon, and shows Tye Anders, 21, lying on his front lawn as three Midland Police officers point their guns at him from their cars, per The Sun

In the background of the video, police can be heard shouting commands at Anders, while his family and friends beg the cops not to shoot him.

“Put the guns down I’m scared, I’m scared,” Anders is heard yelling in the clip.

“He’s scared, Y’all have guns on him. He’s black. Do y’all not see how many black people are getting shot? He’s only 21, of course he’s scared,” a woman filming the scene screams at the officers.

Police reportedly followed Anders after he blew through a traffic sign and then continued in his vehicle until he arrived at his grandmother’s home. Once there, officers ordered him out of his car and to walk to their cars. Anders, instead, laid down on the grass in front of his grandmother’s house yelling “put your guns down.”

“Upon exiting the vehicle, officers advised the subject to walk towards them to be detained, the subject then stopped and laid on the ground,” MPD said.

It was then that Anders’ 90-year old grandma, wearing a pink dress and carrying a walking stick, attempted to protect her grandson by standing next to him.

“Granny, granny, that’s my granny,” a woman is heard saying in the clip.

In the video the grandmother appears to fall on top of Anders while an officer attempts to handcuff him.

Anders was arrested and jailed for evading police and has since been released on bond, according to NewsWest9

He has hired civil rights attorney Justin Moore, who claims Anders was not trying to elude arrest, but was simply trying to pull over in a place he felt safe.

“We believe and maintain that this was a stop based on racial profiling and there was no traffic violation,” Moore said.

In a statement he writes, “Racial profiling and pretext stops have been at pandemic levels in this country for generations. This incident falls within this age-old trend of following black men and arresting them for fabricated reasons.”

“There’s no evidence on that video of those facts being justified, or that charge being justified,” Moore added.

Moore is now calling for the immediate release of dash cam and body cam videos from police.

Meanwhile, many on social media have expressed outrage at the aggressive handling of Anders, which also caused his grandmother to fall down.

That young brother was Smart to drive to his grandmother's house. The love of a grandmother and another black woman talking the cops down. Them cops was itching to shoot, and nobody would've been able to argue against them. Wow.

Part of Trump's bail reform. He was trying to pull over in a save place and they wanted to shoot him. Wake up black America.
