The father of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis told Oprah Winfrey today that the girl's mother trafficked the child to pay off a drug debt.
Police have charged Mario O'Neill with the kidnapping, rape and murder of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis. The little girl's body was found near a North Carolina highway this week.
The allegation by Bradley Lockhart came a day after Mario Andrette O'Neill was charged with the rape and murder of Shaniya. O'Neill is the man police say is shown on a Sanford, N.C., hotel surveillance camera carrying Shaniya into a hotel room shortly after she was reported missing. He is being held without bond.
The girl's mother, Antoinette Davis, has been arrested and charged with child prostitution. Raleigh's ABC affiliate WTVD confirmed this week that Davis is again pregnant. Davis' other child, a 7-year-old boy, was removed from her home last week, Fayetteville Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance told ABCNews.com, and is now in foster care.

Omfg!...that lil girl didn't have the begining stages to start her life. She was so pretty... She could have become anything she wanted. I am praying for her, but I know she's n a much better place where she is not being tortured and neglected b/c her mother and father were idiots and cudnt control the drug habits...Like do drugs really make u wanna sell ur kid to pay a debt so u can borrow more drugs and get high...And for the dude that she owed the money to, like he would take a child for a debt.....smh...im disgusted....
How can someone do their own child something like this. Father God please help us. I hope and pray both mother and Oneil would be given death penalties as punishment
