Foota Hype revealed that he was the first person in the disbanded group Alliance to fall out with Vybz Kartel. In his stunning revelations via an interview, as he recounts his time in Alliance, Foota also said that Vybz Kartel took one of Busy Signal’s styles to create one of his hit songs.
The dancehall selector references Vybz Kartel song Stamma as the song that benefitted from Busy stolen style. To strengthen his point as his claims were challenged by the interviewer, Foota went on to state that Kartel has stolen the most styles and melodies in dancehall, more than any other Jamaican deejay.
Foota Hype addresses the interviewer’s challenge to his claims by stating, “You never know seh a me a the fuss man inna Alliance an Kartel nuh deal you never know that if me never tell you, you nuh know, you never know seh Ele and Kartel have a internal thing a gwaan if me never tell you so you haffi quiet and listen me, learn you a learn today Gaza Uncle.”
Foota Hype describes the incarcerated deejay as a “craft man” and he was trying to craft Busy Signal, which led to him and Mavado drawing the line against him. The Selector revealed that was the main reason which caused the Mavado and Kartel feud.
As he continued his story, Foota said that following a confrontation between Kartel and one of Bounty Killer ‘Soldiers’ at Elephant Man’s Party, which was held at Mas Camp, he and Kartel fell out after Kartel accused him of holding on to him during the confrontation.
