Diddy, Jay Z Tops Forbes Cash Kings 2015 List

Forbes has rolled out it's 2015 400 list of the Richest Americans.

The price of entry this year was $1.7 billion, the highest it’s been in the 33 years that Forbes has tracked American wealth. Last year it took $1.55 billion to make the cut. Because the bar is so high, 145 U.S. billionaires missed the list.

1. Bill Gates (Microsoft) - net worth $76 billion

2. Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway) - net worth $62 billion

3. Larry Ellison (Oracle) - net worth $47.5 billion

4. Jeff Bezos ( - net worth $47 billion

5. and 6. Tie - David Koch and Charles Koch (Koch Industries) - net worth $41 billion

7. Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) - net worth $40.3 billion

8. Michael Bloomberg (Bloomberg LP) - net worth $38.6 billion

9. Jim Walton (Wal-Mart) - net worth $33.7 billion

10. Larry Page (Google) - net worth $33.3 billion


Jayz and Diddy

Diddy is still the cash king in hip hop. Forbes released their list of the top five Cash Kings 2015: The World’s Highest Paid Hip-Hop Acts and the Bad Boy Records head is once again at the top.
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, rarely make music or go on tour these days but he raked in $60 million from major brands that he has investments in like Ciroc vodka, Aquahydrate, his clothing line Sean John brought in the bulk of his earnings.
Jay Z came in at second with $56 million. Like Diddy, Shawn Carter also makes a lot of money from business ventures like Ace Of Spade champagne and his Roc Nation label, but the bulk of his earnings come from his On The Run tour with Beyonce.
Drake is both making his presence felt both on the airwaves and in his bank account. The Canadian rapper came in third with an earning of $39.5 million over the last year. His money mostly came from touring and from sales of his surprise album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late on iTunes.

Dr. Dre and Eminem

Dr. Dre came in fourth with $33 million from his vast production catalogue and his new album and movie Compton. He also gets checks from his endorsement with Apple. Last year Dre topped the list with $620 million from his sale of Beats to Apple.

Rapper/singer/producer Pharrell Williams rounded out the top five with $32 million in earnings mostly from being a judge on The Voice, touring and music sales.

5. Pharrell: $32 million
6. Eminem: $31 million
7. Kanye West: $22 million
8. Wiz Khalifa: $21.5 million

You guys who are saying these people aren't putting money in your pockets, or giving back. Why are some black people feels entitled for some kind of charity, or the Whitemen money, opportunities if you just sitting on your ass? doesn't work that way, sorry.

They not putting money in my pocket or giving back to the communities that made them who they are. It's good to make all that but don't forget who helped you to become successful.
