Dancehall/Reggae artist, GYPTIAN involved with SHOOTING, one man dead!

Tragedy took hold of Prominent Dancehall producer, Steven "Supa Hype" Davis' studio on Monday after a man was reportedly killed following an argument that developed between Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Gyptian and Dancehall producer, DJ Frass.

Reportedly, Gyptian and DJ Frass were discussing a track that the "Nah Let Go" singer had voiced on Frass' Riddim while at Supa Hype's Studio at Dumbarton Avenue in St. Andrew. The discussion then evolved into a heated argument between the Dancehall/Reggae personalities; prompting Frass, real name Kimani Palmer to leave the studio. When Frass returned, he allegedly brought men with him; one of them grabbing Gyptian, real name Windel Beneto Edwards in the waist.

The argument reached its breaking point when one of the men appeared to be reaching towards his waist for a gun. That's when one of Gyptian's friends pulled his gun and fired at the man; killing him on the spot. No further details of the incident have been released at this time.

So sad! When will we stop killing each other over foolishness. No one but God can grant us life, yet some of us take it away so easily. Great example of how to settle a dispute....we must remember the youths are always watching us.

It's a tragic situation but we gotta really look at it ... Whoever the guy was who pulled the trigger may have saved gyptians life, because if one of those guys was reaching for something and manhandling gyptian, it looks as though they were about to take it to that level. We all would be mourning this morning if it wasn't for gyptians friend, at least so it appears!!!

The title of this story made is sound like Gyptian had something to REALLY do with the shooting. Yes Gyptian had an argument with partna, BUT they partna returned with 2 men and one acted like an a******, grabbed Gyptian, so Gyptian's boy wasted him. Simple. I would hope my boy did the same for me.

You can take the pig out of the mud and put him in a palace, but he's still a PIG!
