Bobbi Kristina Brown Looks To Distance Herself From Her Dad Bobby Brown By Changing Her Name To Kristina Houston

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina is obviously going through a tough time since the loss of her mother several weeks ago. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey which aired Sunday [March 11] the 19-year old says she can still feel her mom's presence in her home.

"Throughout the house lights turn on and off and I'm like, 'Mom what are you doing?'" she told Oprah. "I can still sit there and laugh with her. I can still sit there and talk to her."

Oprah responded by simply saying: "wow."

The rift between Bobby Brown and his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown appears to be widening.

Bobbi is Brown's only child with late singer Whitney Houston. TMZ is reporting that the 19-year old wants nothing to do with him and that includes having his name.

According to the report, Bobbi has wanted to change her name for some some time, but her mother wouldn't let her. Now that Whitney is gone Bobbi is free to do as she pleases and wants to be known simply as Kristina Houston.

I hope she don't wait too long to do so because having a father is important.
If you ask me, I say maturity starts about 24. At 18 you still need guidance. If we remember when we was her age we will understand.

I can't really comment because I don't know what their relationship was and with all the negativity her family harbors for Bobby Brown, I think this may have played a role in her decision. Personally, fathers are as equally important as mothers and I lost my father several years ago and still feel the pain and miss him dearly. I hope she can work through her issues because she only has one parent and she needs him, whether she realizes it or not.

With everything that she saw happen between her mum and dad, at this time in her life after the death of her mother; she should not isolate or speak ill of her dad. He is still her biological father and that trumps all the in-laws and by-laws on both sides of the family. Whitney was warned several times by friends of bobby and her own not to get involved with bobby Brown, that he was bad news and would be a bad influence on her; and what she did? The complete opposite of what everyone was telling her not to do, she dove into it head first and she was already on drugs before she met bobby, actually she might be the one who introduce bobby to crack and cocaine but bobby being the man he got all the blame for Whitney’s faults.

He punished Withney for who she was. Personally I do not blame her for wanting to change her name. Kristina saw her mother self-destruct because she was not happy yet she took her marriage vows to the heart, she actually loved bobby brown and her reward was mental abuse which Kristina had a front seat view. Kistina Houston you do whats best for you and to hell with what anybody thinks. A name Change will be who you are when its all said and done. KUDOS TO YOU KRISTINA HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!

We know Whitney had her with her, we also know she still spoke to her father, now that Whitney's gone and her fam are now the guardians it suddenly comes out and across to us that she hates her father??!!! Wow, this is nothing but a clear case of brain washing. I don't know what they're thinking because regardless to what anyone wants, Bobby Brown is in her Last Will and Testament which was in place before "Kristina was even born", and remained the same even after Bobby and Whitney divorced. If Bobbi Kristina dies he gets whats left... Those around her are not getting a dime..
