BET's Black Girls Rock! 2018 saw Hollywood's biggest stars come out on Sunday (Aug. 26) to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J. to celebrate black women making a difference in the world. This year's event, hosted by Queen Latifah, honored the achievements of many women of color in the entertainment industry including singer Mary J. Blige, who received the star power award, pop icon Janet Jackson, who went home with the rock star award. The awards ceremony will be broadcasted on BET on September 9 at 8 p.m. Here, Janet Jackson is pictured on the red carpet.
