Alicia Keys had a definite glow about her at a charity gala in London last night, and now it's clear why.
The 29-year-old confirmed today she is pregnant with her first child.
The Grammy award-winning singer and her boyfriend Swizz Beatz, 31, are also engaged to be married, a spokesperson said.
A friend of the couple told Mail Online the pair are 'very happy' with the news.The couple are expected to wed in a private ceremony later this year.
Last night the Empire State of Mind singer looked radiant as she took the the red carpet in a bold textured gown by designers Dolce and Gabbana.
She kept her bump disguised beneath the huge billowing confection as she arrived for the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball at held at St John's in Smith Square.
She hosted the event alongside actress Thandie Newton and other guests included reatlity TV star Katie Price and X Factor group.
Alicia was also joined on the night by Swizz, real name Kasseem Dean, who has created hits for Jay Z and Whitney Houston.
Swizz has two sons, Kasseem Jr from his marriage to Mashonda Tifrere and Prince Nasir from a previous relationship.His drawn out divorce from wife of four years Tifrere was finalised last month.
Clearly keen to celebrate her happy news, a source told Mail Online she treated her entourage to nine magnums of Dom Perignon champagne, whilst she sipped on cranberry juice all night.
Alicia and fiancé Swizz spent their time cossetted in the VIP area, gazing adoringly at one another.
A source said the whole club stood still to see Alicia toasting her baby news.
