From Executive Producer Jada Pinkett Smith comes a new documentary series exploring the lives of prominent and iconic African Queens. The first season will cover the life of Njinga, the complex, captivating, and fearless 17th century warrior queen of Ndongo and Matamba, in modern day Angola. The nation’s first female ruler, Njinga earned a reputation for her blend of political and diplomatic skill with military prowess and became an icon of resistance.

The premiere date for the documentary series African Queens is scheduled for February 15. The main role in the project was given to actress Adele Oni, known for The Witcher https://arkansas.ning.com/.... The creators will tell the story of the ruler of Ndongo and Matamba (now the state of Angola) Jinge, who decided to oppose the European colonialists in the 17th century. The African Queens series was executive produced by Jada Pinkett Smith. She said that in Angola, Jinge is considered one of the greatest warriors in the country, the mother of a nation that made sacrifices for the sake of its people.
