Actress Halle Berry Single Again After Her And Gabriel Aubry End Five Year Relationship

NY Daily News: One of Hollywood's most beautiful couples has called it quits.

Halle Berry and her model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, have pulled the plug on their five-year relationship, RadarOnline.com reports.

The couple, who are parents to 2-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry, have reportedly spent months working with a lawyer to iron out the details of a custody and division of property agreement. Berry is said to have employed the services of Judy Bogen, a family attorney from a top Beverly Hills law firm

"Halle was terrified that Gabriel would go after her money," a source said. "But he's a decent and proud guy and that's just not his style."

Aubry was reportedly the one who ended the relationship, citing that the couple's age difference was a factor in the split. He is 34, while Berry is 43.

"Gabriel just felt it wasn't working anymore," a source said. "When they were first together, the nine-year age difference between them didn't phase him. But as time went on, he started feeling it more and more."

According to Radar, Aubry began to notice women other than Berry, who was voted Esquire's sexiest woman alive in 2008.

"Gabriel is a really nice, decent guy and he would never cheat on her" the insider said. "But I suspect that he had become attracted to someone and that he felt he needed to break it off with Halle before anything developed any further."

The source added, "As much as it can be, it's been an amicable split. They both traveled a lot for work anyway, so they were used to spending time apart for long periods, but I think Halle has taken it pretty badly, she truly loved Gabriel and thought she had found the one."

In the purported separation agreement, Aubry wanted joint physical custody of the couple's daughter, which Berry reportedly agreed to.

He also asked for ownership of the house they own in Canada, according to Radar. Berry reportedly put the full deposit down on the property, however Aubry has been making the payments ever since.

"Financially, Gabriel isn't in the league of Halle, but he still earns a decent amount from his modeling career, in the region of $700,000 per year, so he's comfortable and he didn't want a dime from Halle," the source said.

Berry hasn't been shy when it comes to her feelings about marrying again. The actress has publicly declared that she has no intention of ever walking down the aisle, no thanks to her two failed marriages.

In 1996, Berry ended her three-year marriage to former baseball player David Justice, a decision that left her so depressed, she said she attempted suicide. Berry went on to wed R&B singer Eric Benet in 2001, only to split two years later when he confessed to having an affair.

My Dear Lenny Sportshake...you're right about everyone being entitled to their own opinion. My opinion is from a woman's perspective. You commented a day ago that "Most African American females want to take control of a relationship and that they want a man to love them more than he loves himself". Well as an African American Caribbean female, I can tell you that just is not so. Most women want a Man to be THE MAN...one who knows how to take control and BE the LEADER that God has designed him to be. Unfortunately some relationships fall short of that dynamic because they are "unevenly yoked".

The larger point I was making in my comment was in response to Dahved's comment on his radio show about "Pretty Women" not being able to hold on to a man...and my point is that they tend to "SETTLE" for the wrong man just out of wanting to be with someone. With response to my comment about Caribbean Men...if that's not you, then you don't have to be offended. PEACE BROTHER...ONE LOVE

Janice Parker You dont know any of these people so you should stop your ignorant crap. Everyone is entitled to their oppinion but sometimes it is better to state " My believe is...." Rather than," I know that". Ad also your comment about Carribbean men was offensive. I wonder if we should put Island men and american women in a race who would come up the bigger cheats

The problem that "pretty " women have with getting or keeping a man is two-fold. Most men are intimidated by her "BEAUTY" and her "CONFIDENCE" and as a result they don't even approach her. The ones that are bold enough to approach her, do so knowing darn well that they are "out of her league" and if she does entertain their attention, more often it's done out of an emotional need to be with someone. Beautiful women often SETTLE with the wrong person mainly out of the need to be with someone. Women are RELATIONAL...they are wired for RELATIONSHIPS whereas men are always chasing the "ILLUSION".

A man may be charming and even great in bed but eventually his insecurities and/or insufficiencies will rise to the surface. There's nothing more unappealing than an insecure man or a man who is trying to get by on the strength of SEX alone. When the truth about his shortcomings rises to the surface, he usually starts to "PROJECT" that onto his partner, hence starts a cycle of "EMOTIONAL ABUSE" and then accuses her of being emotionally needy which is what David Justice did with her. Most women are willing to hang in there with a situation and try to work through the problems but many men are not "TRUTHFUL" enough to do so. They get caught up in chasing the "ILLUSION" and take flight rather than "GET REAL" and work it out.

SHAME ON YOU DAHVED... for saying that beautiful women don't put out in the bedroom. If she isn't putting out it's because there's nothing MOTIVATING her to do so....but if the man was "Throwing Down" like he's supposed to...he'd have her "SWINGING FROM THE CHANDELIERS" and "SLIDING DOWN THE POLE" just at the "THOUGHT" of what was waiting for her!!!...NUFF SAID!!! LOL

Some relationships are just not meant to stay together forever. People come together for a "Reason, a Season or a Lifetime". Clearly this last relationship for Halle was for the fact that she was approaching 40 and needed someone to "MATE" with and have a baby....and why not choose a handsome "Model" to keep the "BEAUTY" in her child's DNA. He was with Halle for "Ego Boosting" and "Career Promoting" and she for making a "Beautiful Baby". I'm sure they planned it this way. He certainly doesn't look like he was capable of "throwing down" in the bedroom...at least not to the extent of reaching the depth of her "BLACK SOUL". Being the "Pretty Boy" model that he is, he could quite possibly be capable of going "BOTH" ways. He's young and still needs time to "sow oats".

Halle has not had a "REAL MAN" yet and I dare say certainly a "Caribbean" man is not her solution either because "CHEATING and INFIDELITY" is in the "Caribbean Man's" DNA!!! (How's that for a Blog Dahved?)
Once Halle has come to know and appreciate herself past the "facade" of her own beauty, then she may have a chance of attracting and choosing a good man to share her life with. GOD BLESS HER WITH WISDOM

Most African American females want to have control of a relationship and they want a man to love them more than he loves himself.Halle Berry is no exeption not because she is goodlooking. She must have a fault somewhere. She has been with just about every race god put out there and still falling short. Surely all the men cant be bad.Halle has some issues.

Halle Berry you are a young talented, beautiful black woman, but after reading about all your failed marriages and affairs I have to wonder and think if some (or probably) most of these expected occurences is your fault. I wish you all the best in the future. Probably you may need to find you someone who is not in the limelight.

some people are not meant to be married, after a while it just becomes a game.
