A COW, GOATS and Dozens of Sick and Dead Animals found INSIDE of Long Island Home [VIDEO] 72 living about 12 dead

Suffolk County SPCA officers found scores of dead and dying animals inside a filthy and condemned house in Shirley, N.Y., Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Officers and veterinarians were on the scene examining the animals. They found at least 65 animals alive, including ducks, rabbits, mice, pigeons, chinchillas, dogs, and a cow, authorities said.

They also found dozens of dead cats, dogs, and farm animals.

One man was living inside the home with all the animals, authorities said.

Suffolk County investigators say they found one of the worst cases of animal abuse they have ever seen in Shirley.

Officials said the single family home was filled with dying and dead animals.

At last count, there were 72 live animals found, and at least a dozen dead animals located.

Crews had yet to go through the second floor and basement of the home.

There was a cow inside the home, along with a deer, mice, and dozens of other animals.

That cow, was what prompted authorities to investigate the house in the first place.

A concerned citizen contacted a Brookhaven councilman after they say they saw a cow wandering around in the home's sun room.

Newscopter 7 was overhead as a pig roamed around in the backyard.

The house has been condemned, according to authorities.

An 85-year-old woman lives at the home, and neighbors say a 23-year-old man recently moved in with her and brought the animals into the house.

The man has reportedly admitted to housing the animals and criminal charges are expected to be filed against him.
