An independent report has found that for 18 years nearly 3,100 students and athletes benefited from bogus classes and artificially high grades at the University of North Carolina.
The biggest academic cheating scandal in NCAA history and the use of the African American Studies (AFAM) paper classes in the scandal.

@LONGISLAND, Just read your last comment and found it very enlightening. That's a lesson that transcends the academic learning institutions and is applicable to all institutions. All people; especially black people whose history have been purposefully distorted, need to do their own research and not just swallow everything that are fed to us. In addition, we really need to debunk our minds and stop upholding the white man as the authority for history has shown them to be thieves, murderers and liars.
and now every one discovered that, many of those universities been pimping those dudes, and give them nothing in return, i dont think many people realize universities are big business
Long Island: That was very important lesson of your life, challenge the status quo !
I had a similar experience at school it was stated that the Africans did not have classical music ie string , Timpani, woodwind etc. or played in large orchestra the instructor took us to The Museum Of Natural History He took us to a display it showed a full orchestra from Mali with every instrument of an European group. Another instructor told us our history is right in the open but you must read between the lines.
These two men were Dr.Ben and Dr.Simmons of Harlem Prep.
@ Mervin.....Best lesson I ever had was my first day of College...The Professor came into the class room and started talking...and being that it was our first day in college we all started taking notes of what he said. About 15 minuets or so, he said, put you pens down. Then he said, everything that I just told you was a bunch of nonsense and not one of you challenge me on it...he then shouted..."YOU ARE IN COLLEGE NOW YOU MUST LEARN TO READ FOR YOUR SELF AND DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND DO NOT ACCEPT EVERYTHING YOU ARE TOLD EVEN IF THE PERSON LOOK CREDIBLE.."...I remember being in the west indies and how a white drunk from the states would come down to the island dress up in a nice suit and have nice haircut and how all of my black folks would worship this man and eat up everything that came out of his..... mouth... SADLY TODAY YOU CAN STILL TAKE A WHITE DRUNK OF THE STREET OF NEW YORK AND TAKE HIM TO THE INNER CITIES AND THE WEST INDIES AND PEOPLE WOULD STILL BELIEVE WHAT HE SAID..........."IN THE LAND OF THE BLIND THE MAN WITH ONE EYE IS KING"
Thanks Long Island .The slave trade is alive but re-branded our service is man-ual even with education .
Our goal should be re education with the goal of ecomonic, political freedom from consulting with former kidnappers / opperssors .
The madness is we have created some of most notable university Timbuktu,(Mali) and can do it again.
I've study electronic in the USA my instructor was from Jamaica,WI he instructed the subject with passion.
We are on a browser who's flatform was created by a Barbadian it is endless of our collective contribution to science and technology goes on and on.
We know our sportsman do we know our skilled professionals.
@MERVIN....I WAS LOOKING AT THE MINISTER SPEECH OVER THE WEEKEND...AND HE WAS RIGHT ON TARGET AS ALWAYS.......HOPEFULLY SOME PEOPLE WOULD PICK UP ON YOUR POST....AND OPEN THEIR EYES....
Unell Mitchell another excellent observation .
If you can't read you can't understand what is in your contact and more than likely some white person is responsible for your contract and gets the better part of it. This is why most of these athletes end up broke. If you are fortunate enough to make it to the university you should have enough sense to take full advantage of it. They want you bad enough let them do what's right for you.
As the world shrink with technology we can see we as people are mistreated with the same vigor around the globe .
It is time to unite with our "worldly wealth" for the common good.
Many of these sportsmen are intellegent but the system choose to "retard" their grorth by catering to their lust so that the school can earn a high income on these youth.
"EACH ONE TEACH ONE ! "
LongIsland: Excellent analogy.
The Hon. Louis Farrakhan made simular statement in Jamaica about The Royal System which is still alive in the
Commonwealth.( time line 8:45)
