Trey Songz Facing $10 Million Sexual Battery Lawsuit

We reported previously that the accuser claims the 38-year-old R&B crooner forcibly removed her breasts from her bikini top, and a video of the incident went viral on social media last year. Per TMZ, the woman in the clip, Megan Johnson, says the incident occurred in August 2013 during a party at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

In a letter from attorneys George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell, Songz is accused of coming up behind Johnson, pulling her top, and chanting “titties in the open” four times. Per TMZ, “(The video appears to feature him saying “titty in the open.”) Her team says she was embarrassed by the incident and is seeking damages over lasting emotional distress and self-harm,”the outlet writes. 
Johnson was initially seeking $5 million in damages but she has upped the amount to $10 million, Rolling Stonereports

The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court on Thursday, also names Songz’s production company, his manager Kevin Liles, and Atlantic Records as defendants
In a statement, Vrabeck tells Rolling Stone … “Entities such as Atlantic Records and key executives like Kevin Liles must reassess their obligations toward ensuring the safety and dignity of everyone at any event associated with their artists,” he said. “My client demands transparency, accountability, and a prioritization of safety over profits.”
Johnson’s case is the latest in a slew of sexual assault allegations leveled against Songz. We reported earlier that Joe Budden’s former podcast co-host Rory compared Songz to disgraced singer R. Kelly.

“In 15 years however f**k long it’s gonna be, that Trey Songz doc is gonna be crazier than the R.Kelly one,” said Rory during an Instagram Live session, cassiuslife.comreported. “Trey Songz is the most nasty, abusive, rapey, beats the sh*t out of women. Like he’s the scum of the f***ing Earth. Trey Songz is f****** disgusting. Like, his doc is going to surpass, if you ever thought you could surpass an R.Kelly doc, I promise you in 15 years Trey Songz will. He’s an awful human being, like a terrible, terrible f***ing human being. Somebody is going to knock him the f*** out.”
