It appears that Sha’Carri Richardson has responded to retired Olympic sprinter Usain Boltwho suggested in a recent interview that she should focus more on Training and less on talking ish.
Richardson apparently didn’t take too kindly to Bolt’s suggestion and via her Instagram Story she re-posted a fan comment that read, “Everybody want to give advice in the media but none of them actually take the time to speak to her outside the media. So I feel her. Stop speaking on me when you don’t even speak to me.”
Richardson, 21, then added her own words to the post, writing, “Good ‘humbling’ morning to y’all” and “I could not have said it better.”
In a second slide, Richardson said this: “Y’all haven’t even heard the half of me,” over a photo of herself smirking, with her legs crossed
During his interview, which was with the NY Post, Bolt said, “If you talk that big talk, you have to back it up.”
“I would tell Sha’Carri to train harder and to be focused and not say too much … So just train hard and focus on that and try to come back do it and then talk about it,” said Bolt.
As has been reported, Richardson returned to the track in August at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, — following her Tokyo Olympics ban due to a failed drug test (marijuana).
After teasing her return in various social media posts, she finished last out of nine runners in the 100 meters and withdrew from the 200 meters. Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah won the race.
Bolt also explained that Richardson’s “sh-t-talking” makes her vulnerable to rival Jamaican competitors.
“Jamaicans were vexed because she was talking a lot of s–t before the actual race, it is just one of those things,” he said. “Jamaicans don’t like when people talk s–t about us because we are a very proud people. So if you talk about us we are gonna want you to back it up. It definitely gave those women the extra push [to win.]”

In the same talk that the defeated female sprinter was having with NBC, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce could be seen passing and giving a comical smile which would appear as if she was making fun of Sha’Carri.
People then rapidly started to use a photo of the very same moment with the two athletes as memes that went viral on Social media, showing what happens when a person shows no humility and also making fun of her positive drug test for weed.
Richardson did get her high has well when fans of hers made several tweets about the viral interview with one follower saying; “Look at they face love”, and another saying “Shorty in the back look like Lil Wayne”, referring to Fraser-Pryce.
Fans of Shelly-Ann despised the tweets so badly, coupled with the fact that the American sprinter whose Twitter handle is @it’skerrii liked the photo that they came down heavy on her with multiple tweets saying things like “Everyone gotta uplift black women except Sha’Carri who is liking disrespectful tweets about one of the Goats Shelly-Ann Fraser [Pryce’s] appearance” said the angry follower.
Another fan of the Jamaican sprinter wrote “first of all …yall can’t disrespect shelly… in her entire career she has never placed 9th in a race…. @it’skerrii s*** yuh mada…you should’ve let your mouth and fingers run for you in the race I think they would place something else other from 9th”.
The bashing went on and the memes are still generating heat, from one of the most viral athletics moment in history and at this point it does not look like things will cool down for Sha’Carri unless she gets back to the track and prove her doubters wrong.
The jeering continued after the 21-year-old athlete was seen after the race in an NBC interview, still expressing the boastful charisma that she was known for before the meet. In the interview, Sha’Carri could be heard saying that she is not done and it is only one race whilst bluntly expressing that she does not give a “$hit”.
Sha’Carri Richardson obviously wasn’t ready to back her talk of beating the Olympic-winning Jamaican sprinters in her return to the race track. Nope, it wasn’t quite as glorious as she and her fans had hoped. You see, she came in last place against some of the same women she’d beat a couple months ago. Richardson was disqualified from competing in this summer’s Tokyo Olympics. On Saturday she participated in the Prefontaine Classic at the University of Oregon in women’s 100-meter dash. She squared off against 8 others, including three of the Jamaican Olympians who took gold, silver and bronze during the games in her absence.
After the starter’s gun went off, it quickly became clear that Sha’Carri was falling behind … and not just the Jamaican runners, but everyone else too.
Out of the nine runners in the race, Richardson ended up coming in 9th place with a time of 11.14 seconds. Needless to say, her performance wasn’t what folks weren’t expecting. Talk about disappointing. And in case you’re wondering, the Jamaican athletes won EVERYTHING again, finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Meanwhile, Elaine Thompson-Herah claimed a new record: 10.54 seconds.
Even though she lost spectacularly, Ms. Richardson was ready for the incoming.

In a post-race interview with NBC … she made it quite clear, in spirited terms, that she wasn’t “done” … and that she couldn’t care less what haters have to say. She also said this is one race, and that it doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things for her future competing.
Of course, cruel as ever … the Internet was still quick to make jokes about her placement, which is very interesting. Sha’Carri almost became a hero when she was banned for smoking pot — but now … it seems people are all too happy to see her so-called “downfall.”
Something tells us she’ll prove them wrong soon enough.

I wanted to give her a shot coming in with fresh legs and an extra month to train. Most of the other athlete in that race just ran their faces off in the Olympics so they were still recovering from that high. She had the advantage. Coming in DEAD LAST was unacceptable, now she has all winter to go back into her quiet place, regroup and come out in the Spring of 2022 with a new attitude and a new respect for a sport that is her only ticket out of her current situation. Jamaica is the new Gold Standard. That is the team that everyone is trying to catch. Let's get back to the starting line.
Shakari girl, your colorism and jealousy is showing. She looked crazy trying to run with a whole mop on her head in those folks race. She should have never dropped out of school, but it’s also not too late to go back and she needs it.
Hate for others gets you nowhere in life. This only validates the sweet victory for us PROUD JAMAICANS that when we win, it makes haters HATE even more. Like Michelle Obama said, when they go low WE GO HIGH. In Sha'carri's case, when THEY[Jamaicans] run faster, she ran slower!! Oh well! Deal with it!!
