Andrew Gillum opens up about life after rehab and therapy

Andrew Gillum made an explosive admission today in an interview with Tamron Hall. CF News has confirmed that the former Florida gubernatorial candidate admitted - "I identify as bisexual."

Andrew was busted a few months ago, drunk and nude in a drug filled hotel room with two men, and one who is believed to be a gay prostitute. At the time, Andrew said he and the men were only "friends." But now he's all but admitted that the two were more than just "friends."

And what does Andrew's wife R. Jai have to say about all this mess? Well she says she knows and accepts his past male lovers. She was silent as to whether she accepts any future male lovers for her husband however.

In 2018, Andrew became the nominee of the Florida Democratic Party for Governor of Florida when he won the Democratic primary election over a field of five other candidates including former U.S. Representative Gwen Graham and former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine. He competed against and lost to Republican U.S. Representative Ron DeSantis in a close election.

Alleged Nude Photos Surface of Shamed Politician Andrew Gillum and Drugged Male Escort

Andrew Gillum is opening up about going to rehab for alcoholism and seeking therapy for depression after his failed campaign to become the governor of Florida.

Gillum was once seen as a rising star in the Democratic party after launching a gubernatorial bid in November 2018 but lost to Ron DeSantis by half a percentage point. The former mayor of Tallahassee became the center of controversy in March after he was found half-dressed, drunk, and passed out in a Miami Beach hotel room with an acquaintance, Travis Dyson. Dyson had previously advertised his services as a gay male escort, according to Politico, and he suffered an apparent crystal meth overdose.Former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum ran a failed campaign to become Florida's governor in 2018.

Gillum said it was a ‘wake up call’ and sought treatment. In an 11-minute video posted to his Instagram on Monday, he broke his months-long silence about his withdrawal from public life.

“I am thankful to so many of you who have wished me well during this especially challenging time,” he captioned the post. “I wanted to provide a personal update on how I have been doing. Take good care of yourselves during this season and I will see you on the other side. Warmest, Andrew.”

The uploaded video featured him expressing how he used alcohol to self-medicate following his election loss.

 “I went away to rehab to focus on my issues with alcoholism, having grown up in a household where my father battled addiction to alcohol, and later died from that addiction,” Gillum said in the video. “I knew well the toll it took on my father’s dreams and ambitions.”

Gillum says he was surprised by his battle with depression and was in denial about his response to the unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign.

 “I had totally underestimated what losing the race for governor had had on my life and on the way those impacts started to show up in every aspect of my life,” he said.

Gillium says he tried to numb his pain by using alcohol and simply ignoring the loss. Instead, he chose to pretend he “living my best life” but after more than 16 years as a public servant, he started doubting his self -worth.

“All of that was all of a sudden gone, and caused me to think about my own purpose, and my own value and what I could contribute if anything,” he said. “I didn’t want to face any of those things so I numbed. I tried to suppress. I tried to ignore.”

The politico continued by stating that it “cuts you,” to know that his private battled became so public. He urged people not to suffer in silence.

“My stuff had to be public and cause great embarrassment and rumors, some false, some true, the shame that I felt from all of that … was tearing me up,” Gillum said. “I needed real help to try to unpack that.”

Gillum credited his wife R. Jai Gillum for standing by his side and that she “knows what I am and knows what I am not and she chooses to love me anyhow.”

He also shared his desire to be one of the voices at this critical time in history and how hard it was to not be able to. He revealed that his mother battled COVID-19 for a month. He referenced Black Lives Matter and how he believes demonstrators are on the front lines to ensure their lives are valued.

“This is a tough moment not to be out in the world and contributing … although I can’t be what I would love to be for you and for myself and for my community at this time,” Gillum said. “I hope you know that I couldn’t be those things because I couldn’t be what I needed to be for me first.”

There’s a photo floating around the internet that’s got everyone talking … and gagging.
That’s right – it’s definitely a stomach turner, but the man in the photo isn’t someone you’d suspect.
Nope. The alleged culprit is Andrew Gillum – the former mayor of Tallahassee, Florida, and the current poster boy for drug-addled “down-low” homosexuals everywhere.
Enter “Gillum” in your Google search engine and you’ll probably be directed to an alleged image of his naked, lifeless body splayed on the floor of a Miami hotel room, just inches away from a bath towel covered in his vomit.
Additional photos have been leaked that reveal traces of drugs and alcohol at the scene, including crystal meth.

The story gets better – according to multiple sources, Gillum was in the hotel room at the time when Travis Dyson was rushed to the hospital after an alleged overdose. He was able to recover.
It was later reported that Dyson allegedly works as a male escort. Gillum also said he is checking into rehab.
One photo shows small plastic bags with a substance inside that’s reported to be crystal meth. A pill bottle with white pills around it was also found. Beer bottles and sheets that had bodily fluids on it were also seen in photos, which were obtained by The Daily Mail.
Dyson was also said to be naked when police arrived at the scene.

One of Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum's college friend has come out, and said that there were rumors that Andrew was gay in college, MTO News has learned.

Former Tallahassee mayor and recent Florida gubernatorial candidate, Andrew Gillum, is alleged to have been arrested last night in Miami at what appeared to be - a meth filled gay orgy!

This report is coming from conservative columnist Candace Owens. She recently posted a police report from Miami and in this report, the police were called last night to hotel room where a 40 year old Black male named "Andrew Gillum", was present and caught in what appeared to be a gay orgy with two other men.

Based on the report, the police were called to the scene when one of the men there overdosed on crystal meth. According to the police and upon their arrival, they observed the men to be semi nude and disoriented, and there was meth all over the hotel room. 

We have not been able to confirm independently whether the man apprehended in the hotel room, was in fact the former Tallahassee mayor. 

Candace, however, is claiming that the Black man caught at this "orgy", who police say was too intoxicated to talk, is the former Tallahassee mayor, Andrew Gillum

Andrew Gillum released a statement, saying he was at a wedding Thursday night and was drinking, but denied taking any methamphetamines.

“I was in Miami last night for a wedding celebration when first responders were called to assist one of my friends,” Gillum said in the statement. "While I had too much to drink, I want to be clear that I have never used methamphetamines. I apologize to the people of Florida for the distraction this has caused our movement.

“I’m thankful to the incredible Miami Beach EMS team for their efforts. I will spend the next few weeks with my family and appreciate privacy during this time.”

Andrew is married to the lovely R. Jai Howard, a fellow FAMU graduate. The couple has three children.
