Idris Elba DISSES Drake In New Song! (Shots Fired - Listen)
Actor Idris Elba and his longtime girlfriend Sabrina Dowre were married yesterday, in a private ceremony in Monaco.
The couple flew 100 of their closest friends to North Africa, where Idris and Sabrina planned out 3 days of festivities - which culminated in their wedding.
Sabrina, 29, wore two exquisite dresses by Vera Wang for her big day - a bardot style gown for the ceremony and a pearl embroidered number for the reception. A classic updo and dangly earrings finished her look before the bride let her hair down — into a cascading ponytail, at least.
Idris, 46, looked dapper in a bespoke suit by African American designer Ozwald Boateng.
Here are some images from the event:
The 46-year-old actor and the 29-year-old stunner met while Elba was making his movie "The Mountain Between Us" in Canada and kept the relationship private until they made their first public appearance at the premiere of "Molly’s Game" during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2017.
Elba told People magazine that Dhowre was "the one" for him because of their "good chemistry."
Sabrina served the British actor as his waitress. Idris immediately fell in love with the young beauty. And here we are two years later.
“She makes me laugh and we share common goals. She makes me happy,” he added. “She makes me celebrate my successes and when I’m not too sure about stuff, she makes me think.”
Elba has two children from previous relationships: daughter, Isan, 17, and a son, Winston, who's 4 years old.

Idris Elba first thought Prince Harry was kidding when he asked if the actor could DJ his royal wedding reception last year. “Harry and I, we’ve hung out a couple of times through his dad, his dad’s charity, The Prince’s Trust helped me out as a young actor, and so I do a little work for them,” Elba told Ellen Degeneres during an appearance on the show this week.
“And Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed, and he was like, ‘Hey man, what are you doing on the date? And I was like, ‘nothing.’ He goes, ‘Hmm, would you DJ at my wedding?’ I was like, ‘Is this a joke? Are you joking? And he’s like, serious.” “It was great,” added People’s Sexiest Man Alive of 2018. Elba is doing more than just royal receptions these days. He will also showcase his impressive DJ skills at this year’s Coachella, held in April. “I play house, been DJing my whole life,” the actor told E! News’ Ryan Seacrest at this year’s Golden Globes. “I’m gonna rock Coachella. I can’t wait.” “It’s a lifetime ambition to play Coachella, for any DJ, for (any) artist,” Elba added. “So I’m going in.”
Turn Up Charlie
Another thing Elba is diving head first into is co-creating and starring in a new Netflix 8-episode comedy called Turn Up Charlie to premier on March 15.
In it, Elba plays a struggling DJ who is trying to get his life together. He’s got one last chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a “manny” to his famous best friend’s precocious young daughter Gabby (Frankie Hervey). The little girl is witty and wise, but is used to pushing boundaries. Netflix officially released the trailer for Turn Up Charlie (which was created by Elba and Gary Reich) on Thursday.
The British actor is a known music lover and is often seen on the table spinning records. Idris Elba has confirmed that he is now the owner of a record label called 7Wallace Music and his first ever signing is James BKS, Billboard reported. The British actor is best known for his roles in big budget films like Thor, Star Trek: Beyond, and The Dark Tower. Now he is dabbling in the music business full time.
“James is a rare find,” Elba said. “His hip-hop sensibilities transfer to the other music he makes, he’s a nice person to work with and is gonna be a strong artist in the future. It’s a huge move for 7Wallace, a small indie label.”
James BKS first single on the label “Kwlele” will be released on the label on July 13th. The track will feature Dibango and Allan Kingdom who all came together to create a blend of hip-hop and Afro beats. The single pays homage to the Kwele ethnic group found in Cameroon, Republic of Congo, and Gabon.
James BKS is a French-based artist who has worked with the likes of Talib Kweli and Diddy. “I want people to get to know my journey,” James said in a statement. “The song is the musical answer to my inner questions. Finally I can be proud of my roots and say this music is fully me.”
