Why do we degrade ourselves?

Why is it that we as Black people get mad when other races use the N word, but we are so stupid that we call each other that same word? If we are ignorant enough to call ourselves that word then we can't get mad at other races calling us that word. Same thing for the so-called hate crimes that we cry about when a White man kills one of us. We are killing each other. So can someone tell me what's the f****** difference?
