These residents on Long Island, New York felt the wrath of the powerful storm after she uprooted their massive oak tree, sending it crashing into a neighbours' garden. Capturing the freak accident on camera, Mathew Weinschreider, from Huntington, could only gasp in horror as the lawn heaved and the tree's roots slowly emerged from the ground.

Elephant man's rape case postponed

The preliminary enquiry into rape allegations against dancehall artiste Elephant Man was on Monday postponed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court.



The enquiry is now set to start on February 11, 2013.



The artiste's $400,000 bail was extended until the February date.

Police nab suspect they say shot and killed Nassau County cop and motorist on Cross Island Parkway

Hundreds of detectives from the Long Island county and the city pursued fugitive ex-con Darrell Fuller after the carnage — and the wounded suspect was busted in his St. Albans neighborhood, authorities said.
