The bad news: people on long term keto diets have a 30% increase in death from all causes, higher inflammation risk, constipation, thinning hair, kidney stones, muscle cramps, weakness through hypoglycemia, impaired muscle growth in response to exercise, low platelet count/impaired healing, impaired concentration, impaired mood, renal tubular acidosis, nutrient deficiency, disordered metabolism, poor growth in children, osteopenia/osteoporosis/bone fractures, increased bruising, sepsis/infection/bacteria overgrowth, pneumonia, pancreatitis, cardiomyopathy, artherogenic lipid profiles, heart arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, menstrual irregularities/amenorrhea.

These ailments occur to varying degrees in response to animal proteins and fats. Plant based proteins and fats are not as hazardous, but still long term ketosis is not recommended. A short term vegetarian ketogenic diet can be achieved using nuts, legumes, avocados, and vege’ protein powders for proteins and fats, and greens for minerals, vitamins and fibre.

I am pretty sure she had some kind of 800 calorie diet to gain such results. I know that very low-calorie diets should only be attempted when recommended and supervised closely by a physician. This eating plan requires people to eat 800 calories a day for a specified amount of time. Sure, it is effective but it should be followed carefully and under the supervision. That's it. You lose the weight gradually but it'll stay off. Those four words are not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Calorie intake is like 95% of weight gain, just try and keep yourself under a benchmark of calories each day.
