Skyrora British Satellite Communication System
The Skyrora british satellite Rocket Propulsion Technology (SST) project is an experimental project that uses the UK's space vehicle, the Ariane vehicle, to test and demonstrate new ways of using space technology to support human exploration and to monitor space weather. The goal is to build a modular, lightweight, reusable satellite which can be launched into orbit by a single reused Ariane rocket. This type of reuse reduces the launch costs and allows more missions to be launched at one time. The SST will allow for multiple independent launch dates, making it easier for researchers and explorers to choose a time and place to launch their satellite. This innovative concept was the brainchild of Dr. Andrew Rader, who is the Principal Investigator for the SST project at the University of Reading in the UK.
Dr. Rader, along with Dr. Andrew Probert and his team have worked closely with industry partners, suppliers and NASA to design and create the Skyrora BMP. Dr. Rader and his team have also spent months working on the software needed to program and manage the satellite phone system within the vehicle. The software allows the Skyrora BMP to send and receive data from the satellites orbiting the earth and to control the phone system from inside the vehicle.
Satellite Communication System
This type of system has many unique characteristics, which make it desirable to a variety of different applications. Among these include the use of a high-frequency satellite phone system rather than a lower frequency satellite phone system. This ensures that theSkyrora BMP receives and sends accurate and clear information as it launches and navigates through space. The high-frequency signals have much better bandwidth and can send voice channels as well as data at a higher rate than regular satellite phones. This means that Skyrora BMPs can communicate with a ground station as well as a roving mission of sorts.
The Skyrora BMP uses an innovative and fully-functional satellite internet system. The British company has designed the satellite internet system to work as a flexible hybrid system. It is designed to work as a dedicated, virtual service, which means that it can be accessed from anywhere in the world as long as there is a functioning Internet connection. Additionally, the satellite telephone system can also be used for remote Internet access as well as basic phone communication. The latter capability is particularly useful when using a Skyrora BMP for training purposes or mission-critical data communication. The satellite telephone system enables one user to be connected to a group of users at the same time.
The company has designed the Skyrora BMP to include a miniature satellite modem along with two miniature SBS dishes and a Global Positioning System unit. This makes the system extremely flexible and useful in a number of applications. It is also extremely compact and can easily fit into the cargo bay of most airplanes.
The Skyrora BMP also provides high and low Latency voice connections. It also incorporates Low Noise Digital Phones (LSDS) and high-end GPRS technology for enhanced connectivity. In addition, the satellite internet system supports a full suite of advanced functions including live streaming media, online gaming, and web browsing. It also features the ability to receive and stream HD content. The system incorporates a hands-free remote that makes controlling the various functions possible.
