I do not have any of the coats listed. How I am behind fashion!
I completely agree with you. In my opinion, a duffle coat is just a perfect coat and very warm. By the way, I recently found a large selection of duffle coats and decided to order such a coat. I am sure that the duffle coat I have chosen will look perfect on me
Duffle coat is a three-quarter-length single-breasted coat with a straight silhouette sewn from thick woolen fabric and equipped with a hood. This is the only model of a classic coat with a hood, which has been produced since 1890. In the UK, duffle coat is also called the term monty coat - nicknamed the British field marshal Bernard Montgomery, who often wore this coat.
Distinctive features of the dufflecote are the hood, large patch pockets, shoulder pads, oblong wooden or bone buttons, fangs, as well as loops made of leather or textile cord (thanks to such accessories, it is convenient to fasten and unfasten the duffle coat with gloves). In addition, many duffle coats are sewn from a two-layer fabric, the inside of which is decorated with a plaid checkered pattern. Most of the composition of the fabric (70-80%) is accounted for by wool, the remaining proportion is synthetics. However, sometimes there are expensive duffle coats from 100% wool, as well as cheap models consisting of synthetics by more than 50%.
