Police hunt for woman who was filmed trying to kidnap boy, four, from an LA McDonald's while his family ordered food one day before she tried to snatch a different child from the street

She quickly and calmly picks up the unidentified child before walking out of the camera's view while taking him out of the restaurant

  • Authorities are still searching for the unidentified woman, described as a 5 foot 4 inch, 115 pound, 25 to 30-year old with black hair and unknown eye color
  • Surveillance video shows the woman trying to kidnap a four-year-old boy inside a McDonald's restaurant  on May 14
  • The same woman also tried to snatch another four-year-old near from the street on May 15 
  • That child was with a family member when she allegedly tried to snatch him him  
  • In both cases, the female suspect was  stopped by a witness before fleeing the scene on foot, according to police

Los Angeles Police are searching for a woman they say has tried to kidnap two four-year-old children at two different locations in the last two days.

Authorities say the unidentified woman was caught on surveillance video around 3.15pm Tuesday as she tried to snatch a small child inside the McDonald's restaurant located at 1310 East Olympic Blvd in downtown L.A's fashion district.

The video shows a four-year-old boy standing near a window as his family ordered food. 

The suspected female kidnapper, described as a 5 foot 4 inches, 115 pounds, 25 to 30-year old with black hair and unknown eye color, approached him from the right.

Police said the first alleged kidnapping attempt took place around 3.15pm at this McDonald's restaurant located at 1310 East Olympic Blvd in downtown Los Angeles' fashion district on May 14. The second alleged incident happened less than 24 hours later at an intersection less than three miles away

'The suspect was stopped by a witness in the area and fled from the scene on foot,' police said. 

Authorities say the female suspect in the first incident has a possible scar or birthmark on her forehead, an unknown tattoo on her chest and another unknown tattoo on her upper back and left shoulder.

A little girl who was sitting in the restaurant saw what happened and alerted adults who stopped the would-be child snatcher in the parking lot

Most people probably didn't suspect anything.  They probably thought she was picking up and carrying her own child.  I would have thought that if I had witnessed it.
