Police in New York are hunting a mugger who was caught on video viciously attacking a man before stealing his headphones.
The suspect approached the 38-year-old man in front of a grocery store on West 183rd Street in Fordham Heights in The Bronx early on Sunday, the NYPD said.
Dressed in a red jacket, a gray Jordan sweatsuit and a gray hat, he spoke to the man for a few seconds before suddenly attacking him, the New York Post reports.

The suspect hit the man in the face with such force that he is seen staggering backwards to lean on a parked car.
The man, dressed in dark clothes, is seen attempting to defend himself.
But the suspect continues to land bows – including a forceful punch in the face that knocked to the victim to the ground.
With his victim on the ground, the mugger continues to sock him repeatedly in the face and kicks him in the head several times.

He is seen leaving the scene with the headphones, but the returns to grab his hat as his victim lies flat on his back on the sidewalk.
He was last seen running away on West 183rd Street, police said.
Police added the victim was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries to his head and neck.
But he returns to grab his hat and kicks the man, who is now lying flat on his back, again
